Software Features and Description

1. SpellingNotebook contains a full searchable spelling dictionary so that words can be added directly to the student's word list, minimizing entry errors.

2. Unlike a paper notebook, SpellingNotebook can speak each of the words to enable testing and practice without seeing the written word.

3. Originally designed to be a replacement for a student's spelling notebook which lists words to be learnt for school each week.

4. Note that recording your words on iPod touch models prior to the 4th generation requires an external microphone.

6. The record button will prompt you if Spelling Notebook detects that no microphone is available.

Importing words

The import words from another list option doesn’t seem to work with the latest version. You choose the words to import but then the only option is to go back twice and then click done and they aren’t there. Also, I wish that there was a way for it to give the words in the same order they were entered and not randomized.

This app is amazing! For years I have been trying to find an app that I can study my the app words on for FREE! I tried the app city and I continuously had to make a new account (to get the free trial) because I was NOT going to pay $15 a month for a the app app! Then I found this app! It’s super easy...... AND FREE! I even suggested it to all my friends! They were ecstatic! With all of our sports activities and our parents busy schedules there was not time to go over the app words. Now, with this app, I can do it in the car on the way home from sports and clubs! My grades have even been improving! Thanks to this app!
Best app to learn spelling for kids

Love this app. I can create list They have option to practice first by looking at the the app and typing it as well as app calls the word. Practice can be done as many times as you want. Then kids can attempt the test in which app calls the word and kids will type the the app Once all the questions for that list are done, app will show if there are any wrong the app. App will show what was spelled by kid and what is the correct the app so kid would exactly know what he or she did wrong. Also, you can email your percentage to someone after the test
Mediocre spelling practice

My daughter is practicing for her school the app bee, and overall it is an okay app, but only for elementary school spellers. I only wish there was an option where spellers could spell the word out loud, and maybe the parent could mark it as right or wrong. This app also does not give you a definition of the word, or a sentence as an example. I would only recommend for non-serious spellers, or for a simple 10-20 word test. The list my daughter is practicing with is part of the Scripps list, and it is a pain to list over 100 words in the app, as it takes a while to load audio too. Most of the time the female voice that plays the word does not pronounce the word very clearly and my daughter had to say Repeat the word, please over and over. Please look into these problems. Overall is a pretty ok game.
