Install Forest Park PDX app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using Forest Park PDX on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Forest Park PDX"
The search will reveal the Forest Park PDX app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Forest Park PDX is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Forest Park PDX.
Now enjoy Forest Park PDX on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Forest Park PDX,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Forest Park PDX" » then Click "Install".
- Forest Park PDX will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

I purchased this app specifically to plan routes to hike. The pre-loaded hikes are nice options but too long for what I was looking for. Sadly there are no other options to plan routes, as the app promised, beside looking at a scan of a paper map. "Planning your own route" is nothing more than picking a trail on the map, with no description or information on elevation gain. There isn't even a way to locate trailheads or parking besides finding nearby cross-streets and driving in that direction. I imagine there are more detailed paper maps located at the park. I would like to see this have gps location, topography, and interaction to plan my own route.
A PDF map that doesn't even have all the trail names

Downloaded this app before a hike thru the app park today (my first) and I have to say that for $4 it could have at least had all the trails with trail names. Disappointed. It's pretty good if all you want to do is walk the wildwood trail. That's the pink line.
A glorified PDF

I feel rather cheated by this app. No, I defiantly feel cheated. This app is nothing but a glorified PDF and doesn't utilize the functionality if the iPhone. There's no use of GPS at all and zooming into the map reveals a low resolution detail that is probably of no use to you because the map has no idea where you are. You are better off using your map app or downloading a PDF of the park for free off the internet. What a disappointment. Getting cheated on this made my first visit to the app Park somewhat tainted.

I am finding this app quite useful! The overview of the loops in particular is handy when planning which way to go. I would say definitely worth the reasonable price.
