1. Warning: Cute alert! Pocket Penguins, streaming in real-time from the California Academy of Sciences, provides an intimate view into our live African penguin exhibit.

2. The Academy's penguins are part of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's Species Survival Program, aimed at conserving this species in the wild.

3. African penguins (Spheniscus demersus) live off the coast of South Africa and Namibia.

4. In 2010, the International Union for Conservation of Nature classified the species as endangered, or at very high risk of extinction in the wild.

5. Watch the birds swim, dive, flirt, nest and relax from any one of three live webcams.

6. Listen in as Academy biologists answer questions from visitors during meal time, daily at 10:30am and 3:00pm PST.

Install Pocket Penguins app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Pocket Penguins"
The search will reveal the Pocket Penguins app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Pocket Penguins is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Pocket Penguins.
Now enjoy Pocket Penguins on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Pocket Penguins,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Pocket Penguins" » then Click "Install".
- Pocket Penguins will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Fantastic idea

What a great idea. I love this app. I do wish I could see a bit more of the water so we could catch a glimpse of some swimming penguins. Edit: I just realize you can tap the screen for underwater view. I wish I could give 6 stars.
Suggestions

1) It’d be really nice if you could zoom in to get a better view of the penguins. 2) Could you make the underwater cam have color? 3) I can’t find the section where you can ask the scientists about the penguins... 4) I wish there was a section that had a description (name, age, color band, personality, etc.) for each penguin. 5) Maybe you could have some sort of schedule for the penguins in the app, or notifications? I’d really like to see feeding time vs when the CAS first opens in the morning. 6) It’d be cool if you did a livestream with one of the penguins to answer questions or show some tricks or something.

Great job. Love the Apple TV app too. Small suggestion would be push notifications when the feedings are about to begin. If it’s the same time everyday, they could just be local timed reminder notifications. Cheers! 🐧❤️
Cut out camera

Rlly nice app and so cool to watch the penguins!!!...but😫 the camera cuts out randomly, so some days you can't even see ANYTHING I was gonna donate and feed the penguins, but if the camera constantly cuts out then why should I believe this is a legit organization. The penguins are worth it, but this so called "California institute of sciences" might not be...😡😤 JUST LET US SEE THE PENGUINS LIKE THE APP IS MEANT!
