WordWeb Pro Dictionary for Pc

These the app dictionaries (pure the app Pro in this case) are basically an exceptional replacement for the built-indictionaries in MacOS. The content is very well organanized, and the interface is up-to-date with the latest improvements in MacOS. As far as content, it does not get any better than Oxford and Chambers. Of course it would be amaziang to have the entire Oxford English Dictionary, but that license is impossible to obtain and would cost $1,000. But for everyday use this is a fantastic set of products. If you have not looked, check out the other offerings by this developer. I have used these the app softwares for 9 years (since 2009) before they were on the App Store. They are truly excellent for writers, academics, and other researchers. Fast, efficient with good content. (I am also putting this review on the other the app App Store products I own, because they really are part of an integrated product.)

I purchased this a few minutes ago, and immediately was impressed with the clean interface and the fact that all the dictionaries and thesauri are integrated into one interface, making this app an awesome addition to my writing needs. But more than that, I use Scrivener for writing and am constantly trying to find an alternate word, with this app I can put it in a split of the full screen with Srivener on one side using 80% of my screen and this app using 20% and I can simply select and copy a word to the pasteboard and the app automatically updates with the word selected. Huge time saver!!! When I saw that I had to write this review! Thank you!

It's the app, so that's always a plus. And five bucks?! Another BIG plus. Finally, someone understands the Laffer curve. However, after using the Windows version for years, there are a few features I expected on this first release. 1) When you highlight a word, then open the app, the highlighted word should be searched and displayed already. 2) When you copy a word, same thing. It's in the buffer, the app should already have it displayed when it opens. 3) Comparing synonyms with the pc version, this version is lacking. Plus, in the PC version you could just click the synonyms tab, or the other tabs (type of, types, etc). Here, it's not as straightfoward. You have to scroll down and look for matching symbols. As a writer, I need a good thesaurus. The PC version was good. This version will be good, hopefully. Interesting that the free PC version is better than the paid-for Mac version. In the PC version, you had a taskbar icon, so the program was already loaded in the background. In Mac, you could have the same thing. An icon could be in the top bar, same bar where the date/time, battery life is displayed. Program runs in the background, you click on the icon, whatever word is highlighted or in the buffer, that word is displayed. But overall, I'm glad they released this. Beats all heck out of the Mac dictionary.

I have Word Web Pro on my iPhone 5S and Mac. The interface is simple and useful. I like the pronunciation. This makes learning and using English easier for me. This product deserves to be even more widely used. I have been using the free version of Word Web on Windows PC for a decade and like it. To make Word Web more powerful, I added the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary on the Mac and the Chambers Dictionary and Thesaurus on the iPhone.
