  • Disappointing; inadequate, corrections needed and very basic

By Brad in Dallas (Pcmac user)

The app itself is interesting for those interested in the the app Park system, but offers only rudimentary information. It also needs to be updated and corrections need to be made; I noticed that in the geographic location of Vicksburg Military Park (Mississippi) it is mislabeled as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which is in Washington, D.C. Also a new park in Waco Texas has not been added yet even though at this point it has been open a couple of months. This was after 5 minutes of looking at the app, so it's hard to believe that these are the only mistakes it contains. I'm sure there were good intentions with this app but unfortunately it is not yet ready for prime time.
  • Not very useful

    By meeégï (Pcmac user)

Doesn't have information on each site beyond its name and where it's located; for more information it just opens up the NPS.gov website. UI is rather clunky. I couldn't find a place to 'check off' a site to say that I'd visited, though I think there was a screenshot in the app store showing that screen.
  • Everything at your fingertips

    By dakinedude (Pcmac user)

Great iPad and iPhone app. It give you quick access to maps, location and information. Would be nice if you could track/log your visits here.
  • Don't bother

    By KPbyhbg (Pcmac user)

Says you can pin which parks you have been to, you cannot. Only reason we tried was to keep track of the parks visited, and this app does not do that, as they claimed. Misleading? Deliberate? Incompetent? Just trying to get money before being shut down? Would not spend the .99 as not worth even that.
