What is Phonto? Phonto is a mobile app that allows users to add text to pictures. It offers a wide range of features such as more than 400 fonts, changeable text size, color, gradient, stroke, shadow, and background, rotatable text, curved and perspective text, erasable parts of text, and available items like balloon, rectangle, star, and heart. Users can also change the image theme and background, and share their photos on social media platforms. The app supports only English (US), Chinese, and Japanese languages.

Software Features and Description

1. Phonto supports only English (US), Chinese and Japanese, so when the priority of Chinese (or Japanese) in your setting was higher than English, Phonto would be launched as Chinese (or Japanese) mode.

2. Using iTunes, you can copy font files between your computer and Phonto on your iOS device.

3. Phonto is a simple app that allows you to add text to pictures.

4. Choose 'English' in 'General' > 'Language & Region' > 'iPhone Language'.

5. ・ You can use not only pictures, but also plain images to write text.

6. Turn back your 'iPhone Language' to your favorite language.

7. ・ Items (Balloon, Rectangle, Star, Heart) are available.

8. Try Vont app, if you want to add text to videos.

9. Vont is a free app that is available on the App Store.

10. Select your iOS device from the Devices section of iTunes.

11. ・ You can share photos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

A few suggestions! Great app!

There’s a few things I would love to see in this app. Firstly the ability to save a draft of work!! I can’t tell you how many times I was multitasking, received a call or anything and I go back to this app and my work is gone. Of course we have restore previous state but that only works so well. If my phone dies then that’s gone. And if I save the work into a picture file the content is no longer movable. The second thing I would love to see is that when we start from a plain photo that the background be actually pure white and not almost there. What I mean is that the values begin at 250,250,250 which is almost there. But when I click on the white color box the values change to 255,255,255. If the values could start there for a white plain photo that’d be awesome!! Otherwise I love the ability to create in this app and all the fonts I have accumulated! Thank you!!

I absolutely love this app and I think that without it, I’d never have started making niche memes and stuff like that, and this app makes the creation of such things exponentially more simple then on other software. I only have one complaint, and that complaint is enough to warrant 4 stars instead of 5. You can not save your this app projects if you close the app. Please, for the love of god, take inspiration from other photo editing software programs, and allow your users to close the project they are currently working on and have the ability to return to the app later and pick up where they left off on the project they were editing. I speak on behalf of every person who owns your app when I say that it is so frustrating to have your day’s work systematically deleted just because you can’t dedicate multiple hours to one editing project. Give us the option to put it down and pick it back up in the same spot, or none of your users will feel motivated to pick up the app anymore.

thank u, thank u, THANK U for making this app so affordable, effortless, and so high quality! every font is so easy to download and use, with literally hundreds of thousands of fonts to choose from! when you use it, there are so so many possibilities and unique changes you can make to the text. it’s perfect - seriously hands down. i wouldn’t change a thing. not a ton of ads, barely any, actually. very professional, quick, and sooooooo user-friendly! not like any other app where certain and almost all the necessary features are locked; on this app you literally can do anything! i love this app to death, seriously. when you download the photo you added text to, if you zoom in, the font is SO HQ!! it literally makes me so happy. if i could rate it 6 stars, i would. absolutely recommend. this is a must have app for editors!!! (also no watermark is just the best thing ever)

I love this app!! ❤️ I’ve been having it for years now and I use it almost daily to try out new ideas I get when I don’t have photoshop or illustrator in front of me. I love importing fonts from safari and using the tools to manipulate the characters. I wish I could give this app 5 stars, just one thing that would make my process much faster: A grid. (Snap grid of you want to spoil us.) I use the background grid religiously but often gets difficult to ‘eye it out’ the more you reach the center of the screen. I’m sure many others would be interested, if not already have suggested. But with its little to nothing, minor flaws, I love it. I’m glad I stumbled across this one many years ago. I have this on both my iPhones and my iPad Pro. I also use Vonto! 😁 Great work to everyone involved. P.S: If you guys REALLY want to spoil us, Ad a feature where users can turn layers on/off, and export transparent images (.png)
