I got this game about a day after I started playing the pc version of osu, and at first I liked it. I liked that there were not many fast parts and that I didn’t have to use a mouse to control where I went. The next few days, after I got better at osu of the pc, I wanted more challenging and fast songs for osu mobile. I went to the song store and found that I couldn’t import my own songs or even make my own maps. I could, however choose from a limited number of free songs and pay 1$ for a pack of 5 songs that would have been free on the computer. I understand that apple charges royalty’s when putting an app on the App Store, and a developer license is expensive and that they need a way to fund it, but could they have at least let me pay 5 or 10 dollars and then let me log in with my osu account and play any song that I already have on my pc? Also, the gameplay. It feels terrible. They idea of having two sides to play at one is great, but gets confusing, like playing an osu beatmap made by someone who cannot perceive the beat. I’m not saying that there maps are bad, I’m saying that the idea of using two hands to play the game is bad. This game should not be called osu, because although it shares some of the same mechanics, it feels completely different.
  • A nice mobile spinoff

    By RollingSkyPlayer0519 (Pcmac user)

Edit: A new osu! Game called osu?lazer is in the making! Also, I finally beat ignition, set, GO! On expert! Osu! Is a rhythm game where you tap circles at certain times, giving points when more accurate. This version of osu! Is OK. It doesn't have a lot if songs, but includes some really good songs. (Apatisk, Ignition, set, GO! And nekomimi switch. NEVER forget koizumi - Get back.) The new "stream" mode is a great concept. But then, as this app is great, there are many bugs. One bug is the rank down bug, where if getting a higher score on a level, but with a lower best of a rank, your new best rank will be the one you achieved. Two is the tutorial bug, where you can be trapped in an endless loop of the first practice (Unless you close) And the wrap - up will crash immediantly after 3 taps. The third bug is In lots of songs, (I.E liquid future, With me) where tap rings are misplaced. A minor bug is in march handyman, at the end, Random areas of the screen will be black. Otherwise, this game doesn't deserve all of these 1 - star reviews. (Dang! I just beat the hardest level on expert mode, Dee dee dee by cranky!)
  • There’s A Bug, One That Is An Issue

    By Alexza000 (Pcmac user)

I’ve never played the PC version since I don’t use it much, so I can’t really compare it to this game. However, I found that it is really similar (since I watched gameplay online) and thought it was cool that you could press two beats at one time which really established the fact that this is a mobile game. But... What’s the issue? You see, I play this game both on my iPad and my phone. I mostly play it on my phone, and I beat most of the songs on stream mode and unlocked the Expert Mode! I recently downloaded the application on my iPad so I could enjoy the game with a much larger screen. So, as I was about to link my Twitter account to my phone’s osu!stream, it didn’t work. I thought that it was just my phone since it’s a hand-me-down and it’s pretty buggy, so it didn’t bother me much at first. However, I’ve had the exact same experience with my iPad (which isn’t a hand-me-down). I would log into my account, but the screen would go black, then the game would either freeze or crash. Please fix this bug. I had to deduct two stars rather than just one because I don’t want to have to replay most of the songs on stream mode and would rather play on expert mode right away.
  • Very challenging, even for an osu!PC player

    By Exhelah (Pcmac user)

I have been playing osu! on the PC for five months now, and discovered this game quite a while ago. However, I never downloaded it until now because I didn't expect it to be all that great. I was pleasantly surprised to find that osu!Stream is its own beast to master, and has some gameplay elements (two notes simultaneously) that osu!PC doesn't have. Though it's far from being a great game - There are lots of potential things that don't exist. I understand that it's made by one guy with little time, but it doesn't change that fact. Specifically, I want to download beatmaps for free, be able to use my osu!PC account (Stream would likely be its own gamemode), and I want to be able to at least change the hit sounds. Those three things would be a good start to making this app come closer to what it could potentially be.
