1. This basic flashcard app helps beginners learn the letter names for notes on the bass and treble clef ("F" on bass through to "G" on treble).
2. • For MIDI savvy folk - this app is now MIDI enabled! Use Apple Core MIDI compliant devices with the app.
3. • Change to either treble or bass clef by clicking the clef.
4. • Displays a random note on the musical staff and you click the correct letter/key.
5. • Toggle the visual effects on/off by tapping the trophy icon.

Download and install the Notes! - Learn To Read Music app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Notes! on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Notes!"
- The search will reveal the Notes! - Learn To Read Music app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Notes! is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Notes!.
- Now enjoy Notes! on PC.

- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Good, but...

…there’s an error in the program: in the bass clef it says “H” instead of the note “B”. I tried to contact the programer(s), but the contact page on their website also is not working. Maybe they’ll read this review and fix the error in this “this app” for Mac OS program.

Very, Very Basic

The graphics are done well, but the program is appropriate for only someone very young or a very new beginner. I am sorry that the writeup did not make that clear. I wasted only a few minutes and only a few dollars, but wish I had known what to expect.

Very Useful.

I've been playing guitar and keyboard for over 20 years, but I've never mastered sightreading. I've been using paper flashcards to train my treble and bass clef reading skills, but this app is much more handy. It also has the added bonus of playing the tone when I choose the right answer to reenforce absolute pitch. I'm getting better at telling a note by sound alone.
I have yet to see any this app above the high F in treble clef. I need work on sighting ledger line this app. I'd love this to be added. I also agree with the suggestion for a timer mode. Especially if it tracks your best times. Thanks for a great little app!

Great for Beginning Pianist

My 7 1/2 year old daughter is trying to become more proficient in recognizing the this app on the scale and on the piano. it's great to have a game to substitute hand-held flash cards. Would love to see the next update to include a game that would time how long it took the player to recognize each note on the treble clef scale, and then time them on the bass clef separately, transitioning from note to note instantly rather than taking the time to show the note move. All in all a great value and practical app.
