1. The SPOT Connect App pairs the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with SPOT Connect, a revolutionary satellite messenger engineered to transmit messages via satellite from virtually anywhere in the world, including remote locations.

2. The award-winning SPOT Connect device provides connectivity to the Globalstar satellite network for sending location-based messages from areas beyond cellular phone coverage or around town.

3. By sending a message to the Globalstar satellite network, the user’s selected contacts will receive a custom Type and Send or Predefined message delivered as an SMS text message or email.

4. Additionally, the SPOT Connect App turns devices like iPod touch or iPad Wi-Fi into a satellite messenger utilizing SPOT Connect’s onboard GPS and satellite transmitter.

5. Custom Type & Send messages can be sent with a Help/Assist message for more detailed personal help.

6. SPOT Connect messages contain the user’s latitude and longitude, date, time stamp and a link to maps.

7. Established SPOT message features include Check-in/OK, Help, SPOT Assist, SOS and automated Track Progress.

8. The SPOT satellite message features are initiated directly from the app’s intuitive user interface.

Install SPOT Connect app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SPOT Connect on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SPOT Connect"
The search will reveal the SPOT Connect app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SPOT Connect is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SPOT Connect.
Now enjoy SPOT Connect on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native SPOT Connect Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use SPOT Connect,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "SPOT Connect" » then Click "Install".
- SPOT Connect will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Won’t connect

As other reviews have mentioned, this app doesn’t work any more. I was able to get my iPhone to connect to the device in Bluetooth settings (with some trouble), but the app still can’t find the device. I HOPE the SOS button on the side of the device will still work, but I’m a little apprehensive about relying on it since the app doesn’t. Sure happy I renewed the yearly contract for $200 🙄

It's always been tricky to make connect now fails completely. Also firmware update for device is not working.
This App Desperately Needs Help

As mentioned in the numerous previous reviews, once you pair the device with your iPhone, it is still a chore to have the app recognize the device. It usually takes having to delete the device from the Bluetooth list, and re-pair it…. every single time you open the app to use it ! That makes it almost worthless if you are on the move or in a rugged environment where you can't spend that much time to make it work. In that scenario, the only useful feature is the SOS button on the device. Hopefully you will never need it, but if you do, you will be paying for the rest of your life for their private owned GEOS search and rescue. It is NOT the same as the GOES public search and rescue used with the 406 type PLB and EPIRB devices. At this time, I will give this app one star because of its absurdly dysfunctional connectivity issues. And judging by the previous reviews asserting the same issues, it looks like they are in no hurry to fix it.
Still sucking!

If you have an iPhone save your money because the app seems to ignore the fact that the connect has issues with iPhone (blue tooth won't re- connect on its own ... Like even my $20 Chinese knock off crap will! Your lucky if even half you check in go through (some take over a half hour to actually go through) wont post check ins to FB or Twitter anymore..... Save your money and just get the reg old the app if you have an iPhone otherwise your like me and throwing most of your $130 a year away!!! ( I only keep it because of the SOS otherwise they could have shoved it a year ago!!) and don't think they care. They don't! These are the same complaint they people have made for over a year now!!! And now I live how most of the reviews seemed to have...... Disappeared! IT's LIKE MAGIC! Don't be fooled by so few reviews..... There used to be like 50 all bad Oh and looky.... I signed up for $130 worth of service and my bill now shows $179......
