Improvements???

Whatever improvements were made recently do not work. When logging in I get a pop-up indicating something about recent improvements and then the screen goes black, then another pop-up indicates I am not connected to the Internet when I actually am and I may open downloaded editions after I close the pop-up window. It had been working fine.

This app is embarrassing. It's just like the print version and you tap to zoom in and out. It just passes every possible opportunity to be creative with an iPad. I feel sad for these local newspapers. The staff can do better if management could invest in them. I know advertising isn't what it used to be, but this is not how you update your content for changes in media. I am so sad after seeing this!
