I bought it anyway

After reading all the reviews I wasn't sure if I wanted this game, but the price was right. I haven't experienced any problems with the game and I am sorry for those who have. The first this app game I got was Quest for the Afterlife and I have played it a lot, so when I saw the others on sale I got this app HD and 5th passage. 5th passage does resemble HD a little but I like the the unexepected shooters and the challenge games. So far I have been on the easy level, but I tried the others just to see if they worked without crashing or something. No problems that I found. I especially like the noises each games make it adds to the fun.
Poor Performance

The few new features are nice, but the execution of the game is deplorable. The graphics should be higher resolution—in this day and age, most Macs have quite powerful GPU's; there's no reason not to have higher quality graphics. The graphics don't display properly on certain machines. For instance, I have a late-2008 iMac at home, and the text shadows are incorrect; e.g., the number of coins collected shows with "9999" as its shadow. Finally overall performance is deplorable. The shooter jitters or completely freezes up. I tried the previous version of this app, and everything worked smoothly. What happened, MumboJumbo? My advice is to wait until an update is released, but I wouldn't hold my breath: this version is copyright 2010. We're way due for an update.
If you like the other Luxor games, you'll want to get this

I've bought all of the this app series. I already had this version from another vendor but bought this one so that updates were easier. Those not purchased from the Mac App Store frequently "forget" my registration. This version in the MAS is not plagued by the sluggishness & other bugs of the other version I bought.
Good for old times’ sake

It’s one of the best games I ever played. Love it and downloaded it sight unseen. However, guys, PLEASE, fix the resolution/full-screen issue. It’s very annoying not to be able to resize the game window or to play with either a tiny window or one where the bottom of the screen gets cut away so you can’t see your points or the menu buttons. Please fix it.
