  • Functional, reliable, but clumsy design & showing age

    By Rabitguy (Pcmac user)

This app has about all the features you’d really need in a file manager. The problem is that it feels dated and the the user interface is very clumsy compared to what I’m used to on other platforms like Altap Salamander (for Windows) and Krusader for (Linux/KDE). I’ve been using this tool for quite a few months and have never really gotten a “feel” for it like others. For instance, instead of clicking a star to open one of the directory panels into a page, why not make it a drop down with font type set to 9pt. For this menu, make folders default to collapsed so I can stuff all my dozens of bookmarks into this nice small space. That said, this tool does what it claims and works fine.
  • Great File manager, but still not a finder replacement

    By t2tbr (Pcmac user)

Do not get me whrong, this app is just ridiculous great: it's blazing fast, intuitive and function full. You will find yourself not using other tolls for very long (such as applescripts to rename files, or FTP apps to transfer your files, or even sync apps to duplicate folders or create specific backups). My only complain is that I wish I could fully replace finder with this, and so far it is not possible: the appstore rules do not allow it. I guess what I'm trying to say is; whenever you use iTunes "Show in finder" function, or Safari's, or any other app, you will get a Finder window in your face. If only the developers made the app: "Display files current folder on open with" available, all this would be gone: the user would change the default NSFileViewer manually, and VUALA, finder would be no longer necessary. I hold gread respect for the app's developers (specially Mundi), and sincerally hope they can implement it in the near future.
  • Best app, would like latest version in App Store

    By Jesse Chan (Pcmac user)

This is one of the best apps ever. Use this app daily and rarely use Finder, anymore. I purchased this app 2.x several years ago (now it is free). Would love to purchase the latest this app 3.x, but in the App Store (even if it were a couple bucks more). Not sure why the developer doesn’t give us an option to purchase it in the official Apple App Store, and only allows purchasing on their own website. Please add to the App Store. I would like to purchase asap :)
  • Been using on production machine, excellent!

    By wingsline (Pcmac user)

I have been using this file manager for over 4 years now. I must say I love it. The favorites/workflows are simply amazing when you are working on multiple projects. Recently decided to contact support, they responded very fast. I needed the non-appstore version, for Disklets and privileged file operations, they provided me with a serial for the non-appstore version. Support response time is very fast and they solved my issue. Highly recommend this app.
