Don't panic if you can't hear it after the new update.

I had the problem of not being able to get it to make any sounds after the new update. Dragged it to the trash and then re-installed it. Works fine now. Try it; if that doesn't work, go to their site, click on "support" and look at the FAQs on the side. There's one about the sound not working... They have a couple of suggestions. Does everything it says it will. Even has the on-screen keys light up to lead you through a few songs. Cool. At this price, can you ask for more?
