Top Pcmac Reviews

  • One of the best games

    By ARhere (Pcmac user)

Please read my review of episode 1 before reading this one. Episode 2 starts off where episode 1 left off, following the giant fruit f@#$ing robot. (Yes, that is the actual name of the robot, please do not flag me!) I enjoyed this game a lot and was well worth the money to play. Like the first episode, the game play is a timed turn-by-turn with buffs, anti-buffs, healing, and special items. What is different is the special moves are now much harder to pull off, but not too hard that it is impossible. Also, the language was a lot stronger (neither good nor bad) but is not spoken so still OK if you have little kids like me. Also, there were less minor stores and instead the few minor stories/bosses took longer to complete. This kept the game play more on track but may be a nagative if you like to figure out what to do next. What did not change is the humor. The programers are a bit twisted and the sense of humor was great as there were a couple of moments that made me laugh out loud. If you are a fan of humor like South Park or Family Guy then you will like both episode 1 and 2. -AR
  • Best $4 I've ever spent.

    By Daniel's Reviews (Pcmac user)

These games are so cheap but they're really, really, really good. I can't say for sure but I'd go as far to say you won't find another game even close to as good for $2 on here. If you're on Episode 2 you already know this to be true, so I'll just add a tip: Definitely import your character from Episode 1, there's another review that outlines the correct way to do it. I'm bummed out that they didn't include a way to do this automatically but it requires only a small amount of moving files and it works just fine! I would dock it a star for that, but for the price this game deserves nothing but 5 stars.
  • Mountain Lion Issues

    By Heal_05 (Pcmac user)

I love the the app Arcade Series and his game is no exception. i have a Retina macbook Pro and was experiencing difficulty with the program crashing at start-up. However, a quick re-download of the app and adjustment of the graphics to "high" seems to have done the trick. Just like an old fashioned turn-based RPG, but with a hilarious plot. Can't wait for Episode III to come to the app store!
  • it was great when it worked

    By Shaolin Dave (Pcmac user)

The game crashes on boot. You can't play it anymore. The game was great when it did work, but the developers apparently didn't care for it, or their fanbase. First, they abandoned the remaining two episodes (another developer picked it up later, but it's a completely different style and only episode 3 was released for Mac). When glitches prevented the game from working on Steam, they removed it from the store rather than fixing the issues, pretty much giving the middle finger to all Mac users who'd already paid.
