What is Dungeon Raid? Dungeon Raid is a puzzle RPG game that challenges the player's strategy skills. The game involves tracing a path and matching tiles to collect treasure, buy and upgrade weapons, and defeat monsters. The game has four difficulty levels, two challenge modes, and a constant save system. The player can choose from 10 character classes, level up, and improve their avatar as they collect experience points. The game has global leaderboards using Game Center & OpenFeint.

I normally don't write reviews but this game is so addictive and fun I had to write in to say it's unexpectedly probably the best game I've downloaded for my iPod so far. When I downloaded it I was looking for basically just a nice version of Bejeweled or Puzzle Quest Lite, but in fact there's a great deal more depth to this app than I expected. There are so many different types of skills, talents, classes, races and monster types, each of which affects your strategy and which combined can have interesting synergies, that every game feels like a unique experience. And during play the frequent level up choices are like quick jolts of dopamine to the brain, egging you on to keep playing for the next one, until you look at the clock and realize you've been playing the game for hours. In short this app is an awesome game, I highly recommend it, especially to anyone who likes either Bejeweled or Puzzle Quest. I can't wait to see if they come out with a this app 2 some day.
Must-have mashup of an RPG rogue-like and a Match-3 puzzler

This game is all about mastery in conception, design, and execution. I was so addicted to this game for several months that my wife was wondering what the fuss is about. She then got addicted to it, and ordered me to delete from my iPod touch, which I did. The game streamlines the essence of a roguelike RPG into a match-3 puzzler game mechanic so masterfully that I salivate at what these Devs will conjure up next. I love the iconic character art, the design of the icons and the font-style. Also the sound-effects are perfect and punchy. Fantastic execution, hats off to you! A few improvements. Last I checked the graphics are not retina-display quality, they looked washed-out on my ipod touch 4th gen. I also feel like the "skills" you can add to character-classes, have such dire trade-offs that it really is hard to choose which to upgrade; as choosing one helps you in one way, but really depletes you in another way.
Hasn't been updated in years, but still great!

I love casual games, and stumbled upon this app while researching all time fan favorites. This game looks simple, and plays easily enough, but actually has a deep and rewarding class/skill/perk unlock and reward system that has me playing it again and again. The best part of this casual game, is you can close it at any moment, and never lose your place. The designers made sure your game state is saved after every move. one piece of advice, do not enable open feint when you install the game. The connection no longer seems to be supported, and enabling it will only slow down your getting back to your current game. If you did enable open feint, you can uninstall the game, and reinstall it, but you will lose your game progress. All in all, fantastic game, well worth $1!!!

Polished well beyond most games (no crashes or data loss so far, nicely designed ui, pleasant sfx and vfx), and surprisingly deep; the game changes character in ebbs and flows, and you find yourself adjusting naturally and discovering new strategies to compensate. (I enjoy hearing and reading others' tips and tricks.) Exquisitely well balanced, at least from my point of view; I've made it a few K further into the game at each go. Still, it's relaxing, almost mesmerizing even; I find myself playing in the evenings, before bed. Undoubtedly has the most hours of any of the dozens of games I've bought on the app store. I've even played "cooperatively" with friends and family. My congratulations to the developer(s); they've truly made a gem here (no pun intended) and managed to stretch the boundary of the genre in interesting ways.
