Software Features and Description

1. Kanji Study is a Japanese kanji study app that allows you to focus on subsets of the JLPT kanji and drill them for optimal retention.

2. Although there are many great Japanese study apps out there, none quite had the kanji characters organized and presented in a way that I thought was ideal, so I created Kanji Study.

3. The idea is to break down the many kanji into smaller subsets, drill those kanji and assign each a rating based on how well you know them, eventually allowing you to just review those that are less familiar.

4. For each kanji, there are readings, definitions, stroke order animations, examples and more.

5. The beginner level of kanji is provided free of charge.

6. You can tag kanji to quickly look them up later and even shuffle the sets of kanji while studying.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Kanji Study on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Kanji Study"
The search will reveal the Kanji Study app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Kanji Study is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Kanji Study.
Now enjoy Kanji Study on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Kanji Study,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Kanji Study" » then Click "Install".
- Kanji Study will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Allows users to input their level of comfortability with each kanji

- Helpful tool for learning Japanese

- Users have memorized a significant number of kanji symbols and their meanings within a short period of time

☹ Cons:

- Not optimized for iPad, resulting in a small screen

- Lacks a fun-type game to help better remember the readings

- In-app purchase causes the app to crash upon opening, even after attempting various troubleshooting methods

tried a few others cause anki is too expensive this was the best outta the ones i tried. it does well by hiding the meaning and allowing you to input your level of comfortability with each the app. Im using it as a supplement to my other tools havent really had a problem
Great Until In-App Purchase

This app was working well for the first few months. I decided to buy the in-app purchase. Ever since, it has been crashing upon opening. I have deleted and reinstalled it, soft rebooted my iPhone (power and home button), and downloaded it from my Mac and transferred it via iTunes. None of these three methods have worked. I would like to get the app to work, with the in-app purchase, as soon as possible. Thank you!
Can we get optimization for iPad?

I love the app. It’s a great tool for learning Japanese and has helped me heavily. However it’s not optimized for iPad so the screen is ridiculously small when using it on one. Could you make it so it works with the full screen?

I love this app, and just within having it for 2 weeks I had already memorized 103 the app symbols and their meaning. I just wish it had more of a fun-type game sort of thing to help better remember the readings. Other than that it's a great app!
