What is Planet Hours?

This app is designed for members of the magical community and provides information on planetary hours. It uses the Chaldean order to divide time and each planetary hour of the planetary day is ruled by a different planet. The app provides information on the length of planetary hours during daytime and nighttime and how they can be used to fine-tune a magickal working.

Software Features and Description

1. Each planetary hour of the planetary day is ruled by a different planet.

2. The planetary hours of the day and the planetary hours of the night will be of different lengths except on the Equinoxes, when light and darkness are balanced.

3. Then these two periods are each divided into twelve equal length hours, which are the planetary hours.

4. The planetary hours use the Chaldean order to divide time.

5. Each planetary hour is associated with a planet.

6. The planet that rules the first hour of the day is also the ruler of the whole day and gives the day its name.

7. However, planetary hours are not the same as the sixty-minute hours that we use for normal time-keeping.

8. Thus the first hour of Sunday is ruled by the Sun, the first hour of Monday is ruled by the Moon and so on.

9. This is one step up from performing magick on the day ruled by the planet best suited for the goal.

10. This will give you a specific hour to work the magick.

11. The day is split into two periods, daytime and nighttime.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Planet Hours"
The search will reveal the Planet Hours app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Planet Hours is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Planet Hours.
Now enjoy Planet Hours on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Planet Hours,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Planet Hours" » then Click "Install".

Great app. Simple to use. Seems accurate and takes the guess work out of which planetary hour were operating in. Suggestions for improving this app: would like the option to mute the page-turning sound without having to put my phone on vibrate; it's annoying when flipping between pages within the app. Maybe also add the ability to permanently change the volume as a setting (similar to Google Maps where the audio can be set to low, med, & high). That way I don't have to lower the volume each time I want to use the app. Also: Would love to see this become a more complete application where we can see upcoming void of moon events and moon phases. And finally: Under the legend, it would be nice to see the correspondences of each the app in the legend; The names of each the app in the legend seem redundant or unnecessary since anyone using this app should know what each planetary symbol means. Anyways, it's a great app, it's simple and easy to use, but it has lots of room for improvement.

I have to agree with Edwin Hofmann-Smith it would be LOVELY if you can check out the future dates to plan your magickal applications, however I did double check the gps, Lattitude and Longitude and found this to be the most accurate calculator out there. I also must say that even though it is a inconveinence to not be able to see the future dates I find that if you plan your magickal application in preparation for the day you wish to do it and use this calculator last and spring itno action then you should be fine.^^ Just a little pre-planning is all it takes. I am very happy that this calculator has taken the guesswork out of the hours I live in MST and there am constantly confused lol, not anymore! Thank you Apple!

Out of all the Planetary Hour calculators I have used, this one seems to be the simplest and straight forward. I like that it shows the current hour in Real Time. I also REALLY REALLY REALLY like that it allows you to use GPS. FINALLY someone listens to the iPhone/iPad community. If you're looking for a great Planetary Hours calculator don't hesitate, this is your app, bar none.

I really like this simple to use app but, just a warning, it is only good for today's date. For that I give it 4 stars. Wouldn't it be nice to choose the date?! It is hard to plan future magical actions or future ceremony times otherwise! But thanks for the great convenience!
