Problem Solved!
By SJP-iPad (Pcmac user)
I am helping out the wife in her Dentist office. Music in the office comes from one of my old iPods. Some playlists are louder than others and she constantly wants the volume adjusted. This app has solved that. I can start a music session, use this to check the level, make the adjustment and no more complaints about the loudness of the music. Super app!

Useful but poor labeling
By totallyfrozen (Pcmac user)
As an SLP, my spouse uses this app as needed to measure the speaking volume of her clients. Seems to work well enough for that. I've used it to measure the volumes of lecturers and ambient noise in rooms. As another reviewer said "sensitivity" should be labeled "dampen" or "attenuate" because it actually DECREASES the sensitivity as you move the dial up Max. You'd actually expect and INCREASE in sensitivity when the dial is Max'd the way the label is currently written. Aside from that issue, we're pleased with the app overall. I'd like to see some functionality added, of course.

Triptastic, Nostalgic
By Bought the Farm (Pcmac user)
It does so much, yet it's so simple. The historical graph is super handy, the user interface is so artistically rendered one can almost smell dust baking on hot vacuum tubes. A very welcome contrast to the flat modern look.
It has become my favorite audio tool, combining an spl meter and a historical graph with mad scientist lab-grade look. Top-shelf, this is.
