1. This is an official application brought by the Japan Shogi Association to watch live professional shogi games.

8. The relayed games are usually one or a few for a day.

9. You can restore the subscription by [Restoring] button.

Install Shogi Live app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Shogi Live on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Shogi Live"
The search will reveal the Shogi Live app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Shogi Live is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Shogi Live.
Now enjoy Shogi Live on PC.

Just Needs One More Thing

Great App. If you could provide Game Commentary in English, I would GLADLY pay A LOT more money for the monthly subscription. AND, you would precipitate an avalanche of the app interest in the West. Guaranteed!

Even if you can't read Japanese (I can't), this app is a great buy for the archived kifus and the daily tsume problems, available on the go. The fact that you can watch games in real time is a nice extra, but I imagine most games start and finish while I'm asleep. Thank you to the JSA for putting this app on the English app store!
Pretty good, but could use some improvements

This is a decent app. It says free, but in order to make use of its main feature, you must pay a subscription which is very reasonable, only about a dollar a month. It is easy to go through games, but I would suggest that there be a way to move pieces freely in order to follow the analysis and variations more easily. It would also be good to be able to export the game score and notes so that you can also use it on a program like BCM the app so that you can add your own notes to it later on.
