Great for Iowans who live out of state.

I live away from Iowa now but use this app daily to keep up with what's going on in my home state, the Hawkeyes and Cyclones, and more. The new format is a great improvement! But lately I often times cannot get stories to load so I can read them

Poor execution

First, the app itself. Crashes frequently to the point of freezing and shutting down the ipad. Tech support suggested reinstalling. Didn't help the problem.
Second, they may say this has "breaking news", but learning about an accident backing up morning traffic the day after is not breaking. The app is updated between 8am- 11 pm weekdays only. The news is rarely breaking news. On the weekends, the fluff pieces from the front page are posted here (except during football season). The articles on the app are full of broken links and captions for pictures that don't exist. It seems that things are just cut and paste between platforms without regard for the requirements of the platform.
