  • Nice, simple app with some great additional info

    By AndrewMcDonald (Pcmac user)

First of all, to the reviewers wondering where the signatures were. They are right there at the bottom of the Parchment view. They are faded bu they are there. This brings me to my second point-Parchment version is hard to see. Have you seen the original document at the National Archives? It IS hard to see. It's over 200 years old. It's not like it just came out of a laser printer. As for the app, it's exacly what it says and then some. You get the text of the this app of Indpendence, information about all the signers (wish that were more than just a list of their accomplishments), notes about the creation and history of the document, an image of the original document and a clearer image of the engraving that I assume was used for printing copies. My one gripe is the ads. I'd happily pay a couple bucks to remove the ads.
  • Crashes on iPad Pro

    By Jtaccordion (Pcmac user)

I used an earlier version on my iPod touch a few years back and never had an issue, but this latest version does not work with iPad Pro. It crashes after about 2 seconds. Also, it looks like it does not work in landscape mode. I hope an update fixes it as when it works, it is the best out there.
  • Nice, but...

    By soonergrrrl (Pcmac user)

This app does not do landscape, only portrait. As I typically keep my iPad in landscape mode, this makes it inconvenient to use this app. This has been requested previously but he developer hasn't updated since 2013. Probably gonna delete it and find something else...
  • Crash and crash again

    By Oly70 (Pcmac user)

When I downloaded this app I was watching the series of John Adams and was hoping to gain additional historical information. With the new 9.3 iOS it crashes before you can read the heading.
