  • Heads and shoulders above the rest

Once I experimented With this app, I realized I had found the file manager I was looking for. It really shines when you synchronize your files into the app. You can do boolean searches of names and content. You can annotate a PDF no matter which cloud service you are using. And you can see those annotations in the app or programs like Adobe reader. The searching is quite fast once The indexing completes. I like the fact that this app let you rename a cloud service to something more user-friendly without actually changing anything in the cloud service. It is a 2-way sync, so you have to be careful. Fortunately it has a deleted files recovery. It handles zip files including password-protected zip files just fine. But for some reason it does not handle password-protected office this app. I made that suggestion to them. The interface is very pleasing to look at and easy to use. I was blown away that this product is free. I would certainly pay for it. I used three different cloud services and each of their Built in viewers has its shortcomings. Apple's "files" app is pretty useful, except that it works differently with each cloud service. And I can't believe it doesn't have a text search option. this app does. I'm pretty productive on my iPad and I have been frustrated with the various cloud solution viewers as well As "Files." Readdle's this app is the file/cloud management solution that I have been searching for.
  • It’s a great app but lately...

By Honey peach tea (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using this app for a little over a year now and there was never really any problems. I use this app to download all of my music since I can’t use the common app for music on my phone. It’s been working fine until now. It would work fine but after a couple of songs, one song would come up and I would listen to it for around 1 minute, then suddenly it stops and skips over to the next song. It’s not just one specific song but it happens to other songs too. One time it skipped two songs right in the middle. I’ve tried replying the same song and refreshing the page but it still does the same thing. I even went and updated it to the recent version but the issue still appears. It’s really frustrating. Now I use the common app but I can only listen to one artist a time, so when I want to listen to another artist song, I have to stop what I’m doing and search for the artist. this app is the only app I can use for my music that gives me everything I want without making it complicated. Overall, it’s a good app to use with no fuss.
  • Cannot Permanently Delete Data

    By Ellis Jaiye (Pcmac user)

I have used the this app app for some time now, but just recently became aware of the fact that I cannot permanently delete data I have removed from the app via the in app deletion tools. I have done the initial deletion, and then the secondary “permanent” deletion, but the data itself still remains somewhere in the iPad. Here is an example of what I mean. Recently I needed more space on my iPad. I checked how much storage the this app app was taking up, noting the total being used was 6.98 gigs. After deleting several hundred megs worth of files (using the two step deletion process), I checked the storage situation again. The total storage being used by the app had increased to 7.05 gigs. (I also previously removed the this app folder from the iOS Files app.) In short, I am being robbed of storage by the app. I don’t appreciate being robbed. Of course I could try and fully delete the app and see if that would solve my woes, but why should I have to? Why does the two step delete function not actually delete the files I want to delete? Uninstalling and reinstalling would mean I would have to move all my information back over and reorganize it as well. Why should I have to do that instead of simply being able to delete my files permanently?
  • Constantly Freezes Up - Resolved

    By ItunesReviewMan (Pcmac user)

I found that I could zip my folders and save them to my laptop. Then I deleted the this app app, re-downloaded & re-installed the app and restored my folders. Working fine now. Restoring the folders from the zip file also restored all the sub-folders & files. I did need to create multiple zip files, my original zip of the entire database was probably too large. It zipped up but I received an error message when I attempted to restore it. ————————————————- App used to work great but starting a couple of months ago it started locking up on me when doing various things like selecting multiple files to move or delete, converting jpeg files to pdf, deleting files while viewing them, using the scanner, etc. Requires a reboot of my iphone to correct the problem but it is not long before it freezes up again. I would try deleting the app & reloading it but I have hundreds of folders and I do not wish to recreate all of them manually.
