Software Features and Description

1. SoHO Viewer is a simple application for downloading and displaying the latest images taken by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SoHO).

2. If you had like to see images taken by Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) please use the SDO Viewer application.

3. It includes push notifications so you can be notified by a badge on the application when new images are available.

4. It appears in Mars 2015 edition of Sky And Telescope, page 70.

5. SOHO is a project of international cooperation between ESA and NASA.

Install SoHO Viewer app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SoHO Viewer on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SoHO Viewer"
The search will reveal the SoHO Viewer app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SoHO Viewer is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SoHO Viewer.
Now enjoy SoHO Viewer on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native SoHO Viewer Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use SoHO Viewer,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "SoHO Viewer" » then Click "Install".
- SoHO Viewer will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

The droid razor I have gets images that are 1-7 hours old... This app gives images that are days or more out of date... May be pulling from the wrong server? Great image quality!
