Install TalkRoom for Google Talk app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use TalkRoom,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "TalkRoom" » then Click "Install".
- TalkRoom for Google Talk will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This app is only works when the app is open. If it is running in the background you will receive a sound and a message at the top of the screen, but it does not stay in the notification center so if you miss that you'll miss the message unless you switch to the app itself. When I force-closed the app I received no messages at all. If you start the app afterwards you will not receive the missed messages.

Unfortunately, this app was pretty disappointing. Usually, I try to resist giving negative criticism, but since I'm out two US dollars, I figured I'd save some other users the expense as well. The biggest thing that was wrong with this app is that PUSH didn't seem to work well. My contacts said I was always showing as "offline" unless the app was open. Really unhelpful. The other thing is that the app is pretty featureless but as long as it got the job done in actually keeping me communicable with my contacts, I don't think I'd care as much. For the money, you're better off getting Trillian or IM+... IM+ Lite (which is free) can also work well for most people, but I bought the full version long ago because I didn't like the ads. The reason I even bought GoTalk in the first place is because iOS4 broke my IM+, so until an update comes out, I need something to get by. I purchased GoTalk, which failed miserably, so I uninstalled it and purchased Trillian as my fall-back. While Trillian does do a good job, I still think I like IM+ the best, but longer-short-of-it... don't waste your money on this app. Hope this helps. Sorry Go' Talk developers for bein' down on your product.
