  • Help your doctor help you

    By cholesteroldoc (Pcmac user)

I recommend this app for headache sufferers. This app is intuitive and easy to use, and developed by a physician. All the components are there to help a physician manage their chronic headache patients. I love the ability to add a custom trigger to your list of headache triggers, or just choose your common triggers for your list. Users have asked for a graphical report instead of just a list report but I don't think the lack of graphs limits this app's helpfulness for physicians. Five out of five stars for this awesome app! For those that prefer to try it before you buy it, the "this app lite" version of this app is exactly like the paid version , however it only tracks two weeks of information. Plus, if you upgrade to the full paid app, you will lose your two weeks of data! The only thing missing is a way to sync it online so you don't lose data if your phone gets lost...I hope that is coming.
  • Careful not to lose your data

    By Iehh (Pcmac user)

Overall this has been a very convenient app, and has made a big difference for me in the consistency with which I record headach data. I would definately recommend it to anyone with chronic headaches. My only caveat is to be careful not to lose your data! The app started crashing on my phone after they had made some big overhauls ( not sure if the problem was the app or the phone). I then lost six months of data that I had meticulosly entered. I was only able to recover some of the data because I happened to have a back up of my phone on my computer from a month ago. Point being - you can't just count on the data being automatically backed up to iTunes. It's probably best to email it to yourself periodically. Learn from my mistakes! Oh, and I like some of their recent upgrades. I just wish that the triggers were more versatile - ie that you could add your own in the same way that you can add your own medications. Their lost definitely isn't exhaustive, and migraines are so particular to individuals and poorly understood that ot makes sense to allow people to track their own hypotheses.
  • Great Application!

    By dizzydaizzy (Pcmac user)

This application is really helping my doctor figure out everything he needs to know about my headaches so we can figure out how to control them the best. I can understand those who are wanting the graph because for me, it would maybe satisfy a curiosity. But, knowing that a doctor who specializes in headaches put this program together and has it set up in the format of a way he could read and interpret the information best...I'm thinking maybe a lot those who are so focused on the graph option may need to find a doctor to work with instead of trying to do it on your own. I trust my doctor and I trust this application to help. Thank you for a great application!
  • Good start, but needs work

    By Fairygodmother (Pcmac user)

Obviously a lot of work has gone into this app, but I find it seriously lacking. An important aspect of a migraine log is triggers, which are conspicuous by their absence from this app. Also, the system does not consider the existence of rebound headaches - that you can have multiple headaches in 1 day, not just one long event. Also, we should be able to edit the classification. I figured out that the system thinks a headache must last longer than 4 hours to be a migraine - not necessarily true if meds actually work. Finally, of lesser importance is the severity scale, which should be the standard 1-10 scale used throughout the medical field. If a NOTES field were a part of this system, I could work around these issues, but alas, nothing that basic, either. As a result, I will uninstall and return to the manual system until someone who really understands how these work and what info is really useful to the doctor designs one actually worth the money. PS: (An inquiry/suggestions to the maker have gone unacknowledged.)
