Install Ambiance Lite app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Ambiance Lite on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Ambiance Lite"
The search will reveal the Ambiance Lite app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Ambiance Lite is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Ambiance Lite.
Now enjoy Ambiance Lite on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Ambiance Lite,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Ambiance Lite" » then Click "Install".
- Ambiance Lite will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Upset with the designer

I got this app when it first came out, perhaps five or six years ago. I remember using it several times when I was hospitalized with cancer treatment. I even think I did a review although at the time there was no "lite" version, or perhaps I paid for it: it was a while ago. I had quite a few sounds downloaded and set to my liking. At one point, everything was wiped out due to an update. I redownloaded my favorites, set it all up again. While I'm still undergoing cancer treatment, I haven't needed it that much, fortunately been away from the hospital. I was very unpleasantly surprised to discover that once again my sounds are gone, with a notice I can only use three and I only have access to the lite version. While I understand and agree with the desire to make money, those of us who were with the app since its inception should not have to lose our sounds and repay. Needless to say, I will not be buying something I already had.
Use it everyday

I use this app as my alarm clock and like that I can go to sleep and/or wake up to my chosen sound but don't need to have them play all night. I've also found it helpful to calm my cats down. They really like the purring kitten sound so I play that when we go to the vet or when they're super amped up at night. My one complaint is the opening menu: there's no contrast between the background color and the icons and the icons aren't easily distinguished from one another. It's certainly not a huge deal but it would simplify use of the app and make it more appealing visually.
Best ambient sound app I've tried

I've tried out about 10 ambient sound apps and this one blows them all out of the water. Everything you could possibly want, from a plethora of rain and running water sounds, bird noises and waves crashing, to bizarre things like mud volcanos, power lines humming and arcade noises. The only other app that comes close is Relax Melodies, and even that one doesn't have anywhere near as many sound options. This is definitely worth the $2.99 to upgrade to the paid version so you can download more than 3 tracks at once.

It works like you think it should. You can only have 3 loops in your library at a time since it's the free version, but you can create mixes of the loops to change automatically and if you're willing to delete one loop for another, they let you do it. A small amount of the sound loops aren't "fantastic" and you can hear where the loop starts again, and you have to hunt for the ones you like best; but the variety and volume make up for the poor recordings. A great app, probably worth buying for the premium loops. Took a star off because it crashed once or twice while downloading. Worked fine later, not sure why.
