Very very impressed
By Daniel.De Arazoza (Pcmac user)
I have to say that I was very impressed by this app. It is very detailed and explains each procedure very clearly. The tips and tricks section is especially helpful for beginners to perfect the art of coffee brewing. What I would love to see in a future release would probably be an integrated link to a video of the developer making some more advanced art possibly. I could definitely a video of the process helping some folks out. Keep up the good work this is a great application!

Calling all Coffee Connoisseurs
By vbspurs (Pcmac user)
This is the espresso-centric app I've been waiting for.
I am a die-hard coffee drinker, and the owner of two high-end Italian espresso machines/grinders. No matter how many times I make my lattes, I benefit from taking a look at the instructions online in such places like the Coffeegeek forum. Making espresso is an art, but like all artisans, you have to have a method. I find myself consulting this app, just before my "pull" with great results so far.
(I especially like the add-on for the rosetta art. That's one thing I have to learn how to do well. Takes practise!)
I am also a sucker for elegance in presentation, which "this app" has in spades. From the Art Deco typeset, and the mocha colours of the menus, the topic organisation is superb. Is it for amateur baristas? Sure. You can learn loads about the technical terms, like blonding, crema, and dosing, that is used in this hobby.
If you're serious about coffee, I would skip the "My Starbucks" app (which of course I also bought...) and get yourself this handy gem.
P.S.: I'd love to know the espresso maker shown in the app. If it's a Francis Francis, I'm taking off a star. ;)

Disappointed
By neekepoo (Pcmac user)
I believe that this app is very nice for a new owner of an espresso machine. While you do need an espresso machine with the capability to brew espresso and steam milk, I don't feel it is necessary to have an expensive machine with all the of bells and whistles. You may have to skip the step that tells you to place the cup on top of the machine to warm it if yours doesn't have the warmer. Mine has the warmer and I often skip this step any way opting to fill the mug with hot water to warm it which I find to be much quicker. My biggest disappointment was with the number of drink recipes/instructions that are included. I have been making espresso drinks for some time now and already know the recipes that came with the app. The 7 drinks included are visible on the app. picture. No more, no less. If you know how to make those drinks I would suggest not purchasing the app unless you are only interested in espresso terminology and latte art which only includes the rosetta and the heart. Very basic app in my opinion.
