If you want to install and use the Shazam app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Shazam in the search bar and press Search. Click on Shazam application icon. A window of Shazam on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

I’ve used Shazam since I got my first iPhone back in 2011. Overall, it’s been super helpful, especially when I’m in a store or somewhere that I can’t just ask what song is playing. However, I’ve been frustrated with the app the past several times I’ve used it. First off, the app was slow to launch. Secondly, once I pressed the Shazam button it was then slow to figure out what the song was. In several instances the song ended before the app even started Shazam-ing. That was super annoying, but I just figured out how to set it to start Shazam-ing upon launching. Hopefully will fix the problem. (And hopefully it’s not just that my iPhone 6 is just senile.) Another feature that I just discovered for myself is the ability to connect Shazam to my Apple Music app! It even adds a playlist of all my Shazam-ed songs. Since I subscribe to Apple Music I can listen to them immediately and whenever I want.

I’ve been using Shazam for over 10 years I barely thought about giving it a review. Not that it really needs it, because many people already know about the app globally. It’s the best app to see what artist/tv/movie/radio is playing! I remembered when I first used it when 3G was barely the next gen with it at these speeds it made it so much better to search for the details without any needs to going the the webpage or anything else it is at your fingertips just one click their is a way to say “Shazam” to start the searching. I am not to sure if it works with everything. Most o the type I find my self just using Siri to do most of my stuff while moving around. It’s a very useful app because you may what to know what movie someone is watching or a friend my want to know without interrupting the movie they can search seamlessly!
  • Apple made it worse

Shazam was one of the most inventive and useful apps ever created. I’ve been using it since the beginning. For many years it was rumored that Apple would buy Shazam - usually a good thing. Apple tends to make software better after they buyer it (well except for all the professional applications they discontinued after purchasing so they could use pieces of their technology in other, non professional, consumer applications/apps). In this case, Apple made it much harder to link to and buy songs in the iTunes music store. Instead they want to force you to use Apple Music which I have no need for at all with my very large collection of music I already own. Unfortunately, I’m going to switch to another competitor app, which I hate to do. I’m a huge Apple fan, but this app doesn’t work for me any longer. Fortunately, there’s not many songs I like that I don’t already own, so it won’t be that big an inconvenience in my case. These company’s just don’t want you to own anything anymore, they want that consistent monthly income from you renting everything. I hate revolving dept.

I absolutely love Shazam. I, like so many others have been able to vibe with life connecting through music; the right song always seems to find me at the right time but I rarely have time to look up lyrics to capture a new song, simply hitting the ‘Shazam Icon’ while a song is playing has been the perfect platform to do so almost seamlessly, and the ‘previously Shazamed library’ is super convenient to get back to later so I can add the songs to my playlist when I have more time. My only request, don’t make too many huge upgrades that it becomes a complicated app like so many others do, too many upgrades can overcomplicate a simple useful platform that I have found myself using other apps less due to the fact that I have to re-learn them almost every time I open the app. Thank you creators of Shazam

  • Apple Music thing

Ok, so this app is useful and all that crap, but it’s kiiinda annoying. It’s the fact that it just adds each Shazam track to your library is annoying, and in order to stop it from doing that, you have to disconnect it. I don’t even remember connecting it in the first place. Sometimes, Shazam does this thing where it uses the wrong lyrics to a song. One time I Shazamed “The A Team” by Ed Sheeran, and I got COMPLETELY different lyrics to a song I’ve never heard of before. Overall, it’s a pretty useful app, just has some annoying features.
