PDF Utility - PDF Tools - PDF Reader

One of the best the app readers, except for one show-stopper. I use Foxit reader for reading e-books in the app on my smartphone. I prefer this reader over other ones because it has all essential features (in my opinion) that other the app readers don't have (at least, they don't have all these features together): create bookmarks, open the app at last viewed location, highlight text, text reflow. There's just one major issue with text reflow: when text is set to reflow, some parts of the text simply disappear! This happens particularly when half a sentence is on one page, and the sentence continues on the next page: the rest of the sentence (and even sometimes the whole paragraph) are not displayed! So, each time I am at the end of a page, I have to switch off text reflow, then adapt zoom and scroll, in order to read the remainder of the page. This makes it impossible to read a the app in portrait mode on a smartphone! Ideally, there should be a properly working 'continuous" reading mode, that doesn't show page breaks, and that lets you enlarge the text enough to be able to read it on a phone.

After adobe dc updated itself on May 22, 2015 it would never again open a the app file without crashing. I didn't understand how this wonderful tool could, after 20 brilliant years, become such a crashing, error prone monster overnight! (come on guy's - there must be BILLIONS of users that rely on your product - and you 're-imagine" it and make it a completely new product - are you serious? Maybe automobile manufacturers should re-imagine the accelerator & brake pedal placement/ locations!) I patiently waited for a fix that never materialized. adobe team members kept saying it was IMPOSSIBLE for dc to "update itself". I was pleased to find an overwhelming presence of just such complaints on the forums. I was at my wits end. Using my tablet outside of "the cloud", without being connected, seemed to be without a future. Then I downloaded Xodo to my Acer A1-840 KitKat 4.4 tablet. Blessed relief !!! Thank you. So far it has been a very pleasant experience using the Xodo app, again, thanks so much !!!!

I switched from Dropbox to Drive, and this was the only app I could find that allowed my team to work on documents with fast syncing, some on computers and some on mobile devices for taking notes and getting signatures away from their desks. The print-to-the app option works well for flattening signatures and other handwriting and saving it back to the document's folder in Drive. Furthermore, I had syncing issues one day and the Xodo tech support worked with me to find and fix the problem, which was in Drive.
Foxit PDF Reader Mobile - Edit and Convert

This is a great app for doing the one thing that I want it to do, convert PDFs to Word format. When converting, it uploads the doc to a server and then downloads the converted file. I use MS Office Mobile which requires that Word follows be in the most current format, which this app does not do. However, Office Mobile can up-convert the file to the latest version. This is one small extra step, but considering the alternative to recreating the the app from scratch, I'll live with it! the app formatting is retained in the Word format, which is perfect! Great app.
