  • Loop diggers REJOICE!!!

Bought this as soon as I read about it.... Only had the chance to mess around with it for a few hours so far.... and I must say... I’m getting them J Dilla, Madlib, Daringer, vibes..... which is right up my alley. So far no crashes or anything out of the ordinary. A few kinks that I’m sure will be worked out soon.... no way to cut metronome off which can be annoying having to lower the volume repeatedly, but no big fuss. I think a few extra effects.... a dedicated song mode.... and possibly a faster way to import samples would make this 5 stars, but I’m not giving up... these guys reputation is GREAT and I know they will continue to improve this amazing app as time goes on. I’m all In! Thanks for your hard work. “US” mobile musicians appreciate it!!!!

First off - there's no link to support on their website and no contact email, which is why I'm leaving criticism in review format as opposed to just emailing the developer. I was excited about this because the app is apparently backing it and they make great stuff. That being said - if you set your max loop at say 32 bars but use Auto to record a loop of whatever loop length you want (let's say 4 bars or 8 - you don't necessarily know the length you want yet) then every subsequent loop has to wait a FULL 32 bars to even start recording. This is dumb. As an owner of an RC-505 I can assure you that this app's workflow is nothing like it. For instance you can't even turn off the tempo and make loops that are arbitrary multiples of your initial loop, or use loops to set / define tempo. Also as far as I can tell there is no midi support which means you can't control this with an external midi controller. Have you ever used loopy? or Loopy HD? Buy those instead - they're infinitely better. L7 is crap so far - developers please make it better!
  • Don’t listen to bad reviews - its a beast in the making

This thing has loads of potential and the simplicity of the interface is part of the greatness. I agree it has a few updates to go to be truly essential but the fun I had right after downloading had me lost in scapes with only my voice and some good wired phones w/mic. Low Reviews: I wish people would give an app a day or two before slamming it with hyperbolic low stars. Especially at this cheap intro price AND especially when this developer is bucking the trend and NOT using some subscription model. Wants: Specificity on the pitch slider or a way to input desired semitones/octaves. Developers: Keep updating and improving!
  • Great workflow

I really like the visual design and the user interface strategy. It’s really easy and fun to use. I give it 4 and 5 due to the lack of inter-app audio and full audiobus support. It also needs a share extension to better facilitate import from other apps. And a way to export performance mixes would be an excellent feature as well.
