What is Uncharted Tides? The game is called "Uncharted Tides: Port Royal" and it is an adventure game where the player takes on the role of Mary Jane, the daughter of a renowned sailor who disappeared while searching for a preternatural ship called the Cursed Rose. The player must find the ship and learn the fate of her father. The game can be played from two different perspectives, Mary Jane and Jack, a nimble thief with a heart of gold. The game features 20 seadog puzzles, a magic compass, a trusty lockpick, and 55 Caribbean locations to explore.

Game Features and Description

1. And tales about an infamous ship - The Cursed Rose - probably cost renowned sailor Mason Owens his life.

2. Explore the mysteries of Cursed Rose both as Mary Jane - swashbuckling daughter of a famous captain and Jack - nimble thief with a heart of gold.

3. The last thing your father was looking for, before he disappeared, was a preternatural ship called the Cursed Rose.

4. Figure out what famous sailor, Mason Owens, was looking for, what daring adventures did he live through and why did he leave his daughter behind.

5. As his daughter you can do only one thing - find the damned ship and learn your father's fate.

6. Mason Owens is missing for decades, and yet his oldest friend sent you a message saying that he can help track him down.

7. Find the legendary, magical ship which name is being whispered only by the bravest.

The game is ok .It was longer than I thought but it’s worth playing if you like pirates. I just found out we will not be getting any new games from DominiGames for awhile because they say they are having problems. If anyone here’s anything else please print.

To be honest, this HOAG from Cordelia Games had me a bit underwhelmed. I am not a fan of pirate/nautical adventures, and there were no extremely innovative elements to wow me. You do play from the perspectives of two protagonists, but we just played from the perspectives of three in our last Elephant Game, and will be doing so with two later this week when Domini releases Dark Romance: Hunchback. The gimmicks were both lock picks and a magical compass. Neither had anything amazing associated with it. The graphics were terrific. The storyline was certainly not unique or unusual. The HO scenes didn’t have much variety; I liked the one where you found and used objects to assist the physician. The puzzles/games were quite simplistic; however they were still enjoyable to play. Compared to other recent games, there were not enough tasks to accomplish at each location, although I did like the variety to be accomplished, especially creating elixirs and escaping the captors. This game was a decent length inclusive of the bonus adventure. The quality assurance was excellent, although at times I found it a bit difficult to use inventory items. I would say this game was slightly better than average; therefore my actual rating will be 3.5 stars. Please understand that I was also dealing with Hurricane Dorian for the past 11 days and living in the cone of uncertainty might have affected my experience playing this game. We were very lucky this time! Happy gaming to everyone! UPDATE: EIPIX sold their company, and sadly there are so many HO games on Mac/PC that were never ported to iOS.
