1. The Method App is built around School of Rock's unique performance-based approach, that allows teachers to assign songs and exercises to their students, and allows students to get automatic feedback to their playing directly within the app.

2. The School of Rock Method is a unique way to learn to play guitar, bass, drums, keys, and music.

3. Students then work through their parts in weekly private music lessons, and refine the skills and concepts that those songs introduce.

4. Students are assigned songs and parts that are tailored to them based on their age, experience, and ability to learn new skills and concepts.

5. Parents can also use this app to monitor their child's progress, review their practice history, and view assignments and comments from their School of Rock instructor.

6. Note: An eligible enrollment at a School of Rock location is required to gain access to this app.

7. The goal of this curriculum is to prepare kids and teens for live performances.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use School of Rock Method,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "School of Rock Method" » then Click "Install".

Bad app might ruin learning experience

I believe that if you take something that doesn’t need to be fixed and mix it you can damage it that is what the app of Rock did they took how they teach lessons and changed them with the app I believe as a guitarist this doesn’t cover how a guitar should be learned if you look a the first book (the one I’ve been handed) it uses single notes (I’ve been playing for over a year now) and this is embarrassing to be relearning something I already know this tries to teach me what a upstroke is and this embarrassed me and if you look a the fifth and final book (the book meant for lead guitars) it still uses single notes I think that if you keep this up I might quit
Metronome and Lead Part

Overall a well designed app, but I wish that there was an option for listening to both the lead part and a metronome to nail rhythms.
No way to zoom?

This app could have amazing potential. It’s pretty bad. Why can’t I use the 2-finger pinch method to zoom in on sheet music? I can’t read anything while I’m playing on my phone or iPad. The inability to print is pretty bad too, pretty much for the reason mentioned above. (Hint: screenshots work though). Marking sections doesn’t actually save that mark anywhere and you can’t loop over just that section.
Makes me want to not practice

Overall, this app is ok. However, in my lessons, we go over my songs and then use the app or book. I find them really boring and it makes me want to NOT know my songs so that we can work on those. I really don’t think this was needed.
