Aeon Wars for Pc

The only reason that I didn’t rate this a 1 star is due to the fact that the game itself is great. It’s addictive and it challenges you to push forward. Now for my gripes: 1. I’m constantly getting Network Connection Lost along with a button to confirm which then restarts the application. It would be fine if I was in the middle of building something or collecting resources and it’s frustrating when it happens in the middle of a battle. I’ve been seconds away from winning several times when this has happened and my losses are permanent even though I didn’t retreat. Why doesn’t the application automatically give you back your ships or tactical weapons when you hit the confirmation button for what obviously seem like server connection issues? I’ve not only spent resources to build those ships and weapons but I’ve also spent U coins. 2. The application allows you to target warships but it doesn’t allow you to target colony ships, turrets or refineries. It would be preferable if I could focus my attacks on all intended targets. It would be even better if I could focus select warship groups on targets vs the system doing it for me. 3. Where is the help screen/button within the application? I’ve clicked on everything I could to find it with no luck. I’ve had to figure out much of this stuff through trial and error. It would make sense if there was a central guide of sorts explaining key concepts, acronyms and symbols.

The game starts off with a battle where there is no strategy, just a numbers game, I couldn’t move it control my ships they just attacked. I can already see every element of what makes free games today so terrible, including wait timers, ptw, etc. While I didn’t get far enough to understand how the micro transactions worked, I didn’t see any buy gems/gold which is positive (and why I gave it 2 stars) but there is a ptw element as you can buy upgrades and there is pvp (so pay to win). The worst aspect is the always needed internet connection, even if you are not in multiplayer. No thank you. America and Israel already steal enough of our data, I don’t need Hong Kong doing the same. Should have been a pay once game, with actually strategy like homeworld on the pc. This instantly reminded me of your typical ptw mobile game with a fresh coat of paint. Graphics are nice but nothing too special compared to other mobile games. I should have known this would end up like this as it’s a free game and free games are all junk.

A deep space strategy that tops all others.. atlases the ones I've played. Build your station, build ur fleets, set out in ur capital ship to mine and defend attacks, conquest areas with ur ships, and even pilot ur flagship in battles. So much gameplay on a hand held device. Build, upgrade, and research- base, ships, weapons, refineries, turrets, etc... Worth checking out at least once, but be prepared to get caught in it for hours..Hasn't crashed on me yet and I'm using an older iPad.

I really am into this game but the only problem I find is that you are limited to making app purchases. Yes I am one of those who do pay to win so sue me....but I never thought this would ever be a problem....EVER!!! Every time I try to make a purchase the game would say “Current devices are not commonly used and unable to recharge.” WTH!!!
