  • Great game but lacking in options

    By minersmoon (Pcmac user)

I just wish you could change the decorations you picked after the fact-- three pages to change all of them? I'd also love to see more options, like objects themed around each suit or a time-themed set. I do enjoy the character/team mechanic (and absolutely love the selection screen), but it feels like you just ditch weaker characters in favor of stronger ones as soon as you get them. I'd add a suit to each monster and make each character stronger against a suit, independent of their own suit. (for example, rabbit and dodo are two characters if the clubs suit. ideally, rabbit would be strong against, say, spades while dodo would be strong against a different suit.) This would encourage the player to keep their team changing. Of course, for this to work, you'd need to add a little map of what monsters you'd encounter on the path. (all this is definitely absolutely totally not because i miss my rabbit boy) Overall, this is a really good game; it's easy to play, has a beautiful art style (almost reminds me of don't starve) and is playable without buying anything. 9/10, would recommend.
  • Rigged !!!🤬

    By Wyldborn420 (Pcmac user)

Originally, when I first downloaded this game I loved it and enjoyed the entire aspect of this game. I have never seen another game like this one so I spent hours playing. When you first start playing the game they give you lots of redeals and coins so that if you need help you can rely on either or. The further you get into the game the harder it gets and that is a concept that I completely understand. HOWEVER, the characters become more and more difficult to conquer and in my opinion it doesn’t seem fair. If I start the match off with 130 in health and I have to fight 4 opponents that start with 60 health and 70 health I’m pretty much a goner after the first attack which I think is major BULL****. At this point I’m under the impression that this game is completely rigged because it seems as if the only time that I get dealt the cards I need is when I purchase coins from the iTunes Store then all of a sudden I get all of the cards that I need to get through my battle. What a complete RIP OFF, if this doesn’t get fixed I will not be recommending this game to any of my friends or their children and if I happen to see other people downloading this game I will advise them not to do so!! 🤬
  • Trying to make you buy coins...

    By Yourface69 (Pcmac user)

I would love this game if they didn’t try so hard to make you purchase coins. You get 2-5 coins per enemy you kill but yet need 100 for one re-deal. Your 4 hour prize only gives you small amounts of coins, 2-3 re-deals, and an extra attack (and god forbid you already have one because they don’t save or stack). It seems like the game has bad probability because I can go quite a few turns without having any moves at all and end up taking massive amounts of damage and if I somehow get lucky enough to make it through to the next set of enemies, I die in one turn because of all the damage from before AND the lack of cards for a move. I just downloaded this game so I’m still in early stages but if it continues like this, I’ll sadly have to remove it. I love the art style and gameplay. However, games should be able to be won without trying to force people to purchase things. Granted it should be harder but this is just ridiculous.
  • Needs Tweaking; Avoid

    By whydoineedanicknameforreviews (Pcmac user)

Succinctly as possible, could be enjoyable but your hand “bricks” too often, and because you can only discard one card at a time, only have a pool of 3 cards to choose from, and have to use in game currency/money to refresh the pool, if you get a bad hand and then bad draws, you’re likely out of luck. The developers mention changing the difficulty, however a simple damage/health number fix won’t change this problem; either the problem will persist or there won’t be a real challenge. A real solution will require restructuring the player’s abilities and their action economy, but fixes such as these are likely beyond the willingness of a free-to-play developer, especially when their monetization model is based on removing these obstacles. So while the idea of card game implementation into an otherwise standard free-to-play game is cool, I have doubts the game will be able or even will want to rise above its issues, and for that reason I’m out.
