What is American MahJong Practice?

MahJong Practice is an offline app that allows users to practice real American MahJong with Charleston. It is designed to help users learn the 2022 card and develop their strategies by playing fun and quick games. American MahJong Practice functions

- Suggested Hands: All possible hand combinations are evaluated and sorted by the highest matching tile count. Users can play one of these hands or any hand they want. They can also see the combinations of hands with the most overlapping tiles and develop their strategies by selecting hands.

- Open Play: Users can try different strategies with Replay and Undo. Tiles can be moved around freely.

- Play Against Bots or Solo: Users can play against opponent bots or play solo. When playing solo, the opponent bots play valid patterns and exchange jokers but do not declare Mahjong. Users can play until they declare Mahjong or the wall is empty in solo mode. They can also enable bots that win to practice defense.

- Corrections & FAQ: Users can see the closest matching pattern when they declare an unknown pattern. The app also provides Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to help beginning players.

Called Tiles

Great game, so fun to play! I have noticed one thing that seems to be a glitch. As the players discard, first me as east then south, west, north (which by the way seems to be the wrong direction and in reading I never see any player other than east having a designated direction) sometimes the discards are attributed to me then south then west then back to south, west, north, and then me again. So I check to see what tile south called and nothing is exposed. The rotation shouldn’t have changed without someone calling and exposing a tile.
Great way to learn the card too small to see the creacks

I love this game and play it often. I have even encouraged my friends to use this app to learn the card. However, the tiles for the “bots” are way too small, especially the cracks. Before the Apple update this week I could see the numbers on the cracks by using my readers but now that doesn’t even work! This is very disappointing since I paid for this app. I also wonder if the creator of this app has ever actually played mahjong before? Unless they change the size of the bot tiles I might have to look for other versions of this game on different apps.

Eight Bam has done it again. This version of Practice the app Mahjongg works perfectly. Displays are crisp and instant. It's a great way to learn the new the app Mahjongg Card. The developer continues to improve the app. Practicing on the app provides me with two benefits - I really enjoy playing it and it makes me a better Mahjongg player. There is a wealth of information about each hand you play. In addition, the developer is very responsive. Thank you for one of my favorite apps.

I think there’s real value in seeing that list of possible hands, choosing one, realizing that you might actually win with only 4 of its tiles at the beginning, being able to replay the same tiles with the same or a different hand — it’s called “practice” for a reason. After the Charleston, be sure to turn on the “Bots” tab so you can claim the available jokers.
