What is Astral Chronicles?

Astral Chronicles is a fantasy JRPG where the player is chosen to be the hero that can challenge fate. The game takes place in the Astral Realm, a world of magic and wonder, where the player embarks on an epic adventurous journey, exploring a vast open world and unraveling plots of intrigue in this side-scrolling adventure. The game features more than 50 unique heroes, 5 customizable classes, and thrilling battles where the player can cast their own spells by scribing runes with their fingertips. The game also features an all-star cast of Japanese voiceovers and musical composition by Noriyuki Iwadare.

✔ Pros:

- Fun gameplay with unique swipe mechanics for special moves

- Nice art style and character designs

- Quest guidance is helpful

☹ Cons:

- Too many monsters in some levels, making it difficult to see the player character

- Battles are too busy and it's hard to keep track of what's happening

- Out of battle movements are reminiscent of Another Eden and can be skipped without missing much of the story

- Allies option screen lags and the game crashes when trying to access it, making it frustrating to use.
