Software Features and Description

1. Currently in HomeKit on iOS 12.2 or later, you can change a devices volume using the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone or iPad when in the Remote screen of control centre and the Harmony Hub device which you added to your HomeKit is selected.

2. Set up your activities with the Logitech Harmony app, and Harmony Bridge will reflect those activities as separate inputs on HomeKit TV accessory.

3. Using the iPhone control center remote control, you can change channels, change volume, and navigate around the TV interface as you would do with your Harmony remote control.

4. This application provides the bridge between Logitech Harmony Hubs with Apple HomeKit.

5. Any "Home control" activities, such as Hue lights, configured on the Harmony Hub will appear as switches in HomeKit.

6. Note, that means if your mac is shutdown or goes to sleep, HomeKit will not be able to talk to your device until the Mac is woken again with Harmony Bridge up and running.

7. Using your iPhone, and a Logitech Harmony Hub, this app allows you to switch between AV activities configured on your Harmony Hub.

8. Harmony Bridge will detect all your Hubs configured on the local network and make them available to add to HomeKit.

9. Switch inputs on the HomeKit Television to change activities.

10. You need one or more Logitech Harmony Hubs on your home wifi network and the app needs to run day and night on a mac on the same network.

11. Harmony Bridge takes very little processor time or resources, but it does need to be running all the time in the background.

I've been waiting for so long to have the app support on HomeKit. Setup was extremely easy and I highly recommend this application!

I was runniung homebridge on a Pi for a while, this app made is so much easier to add my Logitech the app Elite remote to HomeKit. Since my mac is always on already, this is a no brainer. This is highly recommended!!!!
  • Brilliant!

Setup took 5 minutes and was flawless. Very helpful videos on developer website (hint: use YouTube settings to slow down playback!!). Now have full Siri control over the app activities!
  • Great App for What it does but...

    By BiggerTexan (Pcmac user)

The first paragraph of the software description is a bit misleading. It says you can change the voiume. This doesn't mean you can use a volume control like that in the device control section of the app app. It means that you can create an activity that sets the the volume. There are no device controls. Just activities. What it does do very well is let you invoke activities like Watch Roku or Watch Netflix or Listen to Ambient Music where these are activities that use the the app Hub to execute the steps required to do that - so in that sense you can change inputs, change channels, change volume but only in predefined limited ways. I will say it does this flawlessly and the setup was easy. My only other complaint is that it will not let me change the name of the device in home app. The setting is there but when I change the name, it does not save it. UPDATE - If you want to change the name of the Hub you have to do it when it is added with the QR code. Cant change it later. And it does enable you to set up Siri shortcuts for activities. A good app just doesn't do everything I was looking for. Guess I will have to download that Android emulator ;)
