What is WeVoice?
This mobile app is designed to assist visually impaired individuals in comprehending text and recognizing objects around them. The app uses artificial intelligence to recognize objects and text, and then outputs the information in a voice form for the user.
1. InnoTech Association is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to the use of technology for helping the disadvantaged and disabled.
2. The mobile app will allow visually impaired persons to comprehend text and also recognise objects around them.
3. This mobile app provides vision assistance to the visually impaired, including blind and people with moderate to severely impaired vision.
4. Develop and procure technology products that can help improve the livelihood of the disadvantaged and the disabled.
5. Users can take a picture of an object or section of text, and after analysation, the picture is outputted in a voice form, where the text is read or the object is identified.
6. Promote the concept of helping people through innovation and technology in the community.
7. The mobile app makes use of artificial intelligence to recognise objects and text.
8. Recruit volunteers to demonstrate and instruct people on how to use these products.
9. WeVoice is designed by InnoTech Association.
10. Organise activities for the disadvantaged to enhance their knowledge of innovation and technology.
11. Provide free tuition on technology knowledge to the disadvantaged, in particular the children from underprivileged families.
