Ignore whining negative reviews
By Chi50 (Pcmac user)
This is a great game. It is fun, funny and well-balanced. Many hours of playtime, and clever plot twists.
The negative reviews are because of the ads. Hey, pay $5 and you own the game. No ads. There are no in-app purchases beyond that. You get 2 chapters up front for “free”, in exchange for ads. After that, pay the $5 bucks and the rest of the game (10 chapters) is included. I despise games that are pay-as-you-play. This is definitely not one of them.
You get what you pay for, and this game is worth it. Nothing fun to play is free. You can pay with your time (watching ads) or pay with money. And at $5, this game is a bargain.

Don’t bother if you don’t want to spend $ or sit through long ads
By Lococrago (Pcmac user)
Welcome to another phone game that absolutely SHOVES ads in your face(like we didn’t have enough).
They temp you with the free tag, until you reach a certain point in the game that’s locked behind a $5 paywall. Now this is fine ONLY IF ITS ONE OR THE OTHER.
They entice with that FREE TO DOWNLOAD, which means the game is bound to have ads right? Well yes, but they ALSO charge you to finish the game, which tells me specifically that they want to milk the consumer by
1. Making us sit through unskippable ads
2. Turning around and STILL charging us to complete the game
So basically they found out how to make more money off of us by showing us ads AND making us purchase the game, oh the greed.
I’m not against paying for this game at all, just charge us up front.
I love the artwork and atmosphere, not including I love turn based RPGs, but when practices like this run rampant and absolutely poison the game, is when games like these die off as quickly as they spawn.
I’m fine with watching ads, it supports the developer and I’ll always be behind that, don’t get me wrong but playing an ad after EVERY battle shows me a greed that only EA could rival.
Downloaded and uninstalled in under an hour.

Great time killer and strategy game
By ItsTheDonutman (Pcmac user)
With the overwhelming amount of “strategy games” on the AppStore that are mostly letdowns, this app actually surprises me in a very pleasant way. It has a very good story, and the mechanics are actually not only very interesting, but original and unique compared many other games that can only claim to have original features. For someone who loves games like Banner saga, and just the isometric genre in general, this game provides a free, and very engaging alternative.

Console length game for only five bucks if you want to skip the ads.
By Dr. Zaphy (Pcmac user)
Easy to pick up game mechanics, addictive with a good sense of humor.
You can fly through levels on the easy setting if you just want to have fun with it. The difficult setting will give you a hard head scratching strategy work out however. The total length of this game is amazing for an iPhone game. I played it both ways on a flight to and from Europe and for several the app while I was suffering jetlag.
Filled with very subtle references to classic sci-fi and fantasy genre and… Do I detect a little bit of The Office? Fun game. Even has some replay ability given the different types of strategies you can utilize.
For those who don’t like ads… Five bucks is totally worth it.
