  • App with a hardware issue

    By mikewest71 (Pcmac user)

This app doesn’t work without the sensor, a $60 piece of hardware that tracks your UV. There are a few issues with the app, but the most important thing is a serious design flaw in the sensor clip. You are supposed to clip this to your clothes. Unfortunately the clip is not tight as all. It sticks well to a sweater or coat, but not to a dress shirt or t shirt or other thing piece of clothing. The first 3 days I wore it on the app shades-this worked fine. The next day I decided to put it on the app shirt, as the app shades go on and off. Within 3 hours I had lost the sensor.... judging by other reviews, I am not the only one. $60 gone... not replacing it! In any case, I think the app needs some improvement. Too many reminders every time I open the app. And it should be easy to add reminders to reapply sunscreen or to add a function that calculates you daily sun allowance if you wear a certain SPF.
  • Good app, limited validity to information

    By TravelHardyLlama (Pcmac user)

The idea of max-sunstock is a bit limited given that it does nothing to incorporate sunscreen into the estimate of over exposure. Being able to input the SPF of sunscreen applied and the interval would make the metric infinitely better as an individual cannot do the math in their head to say “okay, SPF 15 filters out 97% of UVA/UVB, so the app actual score is only X.” Even something as simple as a timer to remind individuals to re-apply after 80 minutes would go a long way to improve the app.
  • Don’t waste your money

    By never_tan (Pcmac user)

I got this as a Christmas gift and was looking forward to better tracking the app UV exposure. The app worked pretty well for me sometimes glitchy on the scans and have to redo but otherwise not bad. Great reminders. the app problem is the gadget itself would not stay secure to the app clothing. Now it’s lost and after only a few weeks use really expensive to be so easy to come off. It never stayed on t shirt collars only on thicker material. I wasn’t sure what I’d do in the summer but for now in the winter it was ok. I lost it today and have been outside most of the day. No clue where it could be and no way to recover it. Huge disappointment. Huge.
  • Fraudulent app that absconds with your personal info!!!!

    By DanishCasanova (Pcmac user)

This app must be part of a scheme to steal your personal info and sell it on the DARK WEB. Apple should discontinue its association with this product and company immediately. I have tried with two different email addresses to utilize this product and both times after logging in and providing information the next time I try to login it locks me out. Customer service has stated that they have reset the account but still doesn’t allow access. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it and the same thing happens. The company La Roche-Posay has not responded back to me. WARNING!
