Functionally it’s pretty cool. However, try to switch from the one provided by Apple and you’ll see the difference in quality, not in a good way. The fidelity of the fonts looks visually wrong. It makes the several custom fonts that I have look indistinguishable from Time New Roman and the problem isn’t fixed by scaling the text. So... there you go.

Lots of reviews here talk about how the app charges subscription for its premium version. I think there’s good and bad of both paid and free app. One option doesn’t trump the other in all cases. It really just comes down to what personally suits you best. I also believe that we shouldn’t expect app developers to work for free just like how we get paid for what we do at work. I like how the app app lets me add notes quickly on an interface that’s familiar and intuitive to navigate. The font is solid, the colors are pleased to eyes. I have been using it for a while now and haven’t encounter any sync problem. When I need the notes on my Mac they are there. If I may add, I would love to have the option to access the app through the Mac menu bar.

Lots of apps have cross-platform sync. My only request to the developer was for a white note background. I already like this more than Bear and Evernote. It’s much faster. Bear and Evernote take 2-3 steps to take a note. By the time I find the note in Bears left margin, I’ve already made my note in the app. I’ve even stopped using Todoist, since it also takes longer and I can’t jot down real notes. I paid for Agenda and it’s below all 3. I haven’t had any problems with syncing my Mac and iOS. And honestly this is so fast I just love it. Give it a chance guys, I don’t want the developer to stop working on this.
