  • Love the idea but needs a few tweaks

    By mcken18 (Pcmac user)

I love the idea of this app and how you can put in your desired finish date and how it tracks your reading, etc. In my opinion there is a key component missing though in how it holds your place. When I open the app it shows me the highlighted amount of what I need to read today (fantastic!) However, if I am reading in the school pick up line or something and don’t get to finish all the reading for the day, when I bookmark where I left off it adjusts the entire amount as if my bookmark is the first verse of the day. It would be so much more helpful if there was some type of hard marker that told me I need to read 1 Nephi 1- 1 Nephi 4 today and that didn’t change based on my reading bookmark throughout the day. I’d like some sort of finish line so when I hit my goal for the day I knew it and knew anything beyond that would shorten my reading moving forward. As it is, I have no idea when I’ve reached my goal for the day because the finish line keeps changing.
  • Helped me reach my goal

This is a great app that helped me finish the the app Of Mormon within my set goal. I do wish it had a few more features like a pie chart or percentage of how much I have read and how much I have left. It also doesn’t ever show that you reached your daily goal. Once you finish reading and set a new bookmark, it just highlights what your next amount should be met. It would be encouraging to see how far I have come. However, I have shared this with several friends, because I love the daily reminders to read, as well as the ease of the app marking where I am at. I also LOVE that I can click on a verse and choose to open it up in Lds library! Such a great feature so I can mark my verses.
  • Good Idea, has issues

    By *Nanatee* (Pcmac user)

It’s not the most intuitive interface (took me a while to realize I had to hit ‘Done’ in two places for it to keep my bookmark. But the biggest problem is when I’m trying to mark my place, it only goes to chapter 22 (in the Placemark section), no matter how many chapters are in that the app. It actually has all the chapters, but you just can’t mark them. So after I’ve made it through chapter 22 on a the app, I have to guess how many chapters I have to read a day for the rest of the the app. (I’m on an iPhone X, with the latest update). I loved the simplicity of the app Circle BOM, but that doesn’t work with Apples newest update. So I’ve been struggling with this one and trying to make it work.
  • Quick and Efficient

    By Bbeghtel (Pcmac user)

I love how easy it was to setup with my goal to follow the prophets challenge and finish the BOM by the end of the year 2018. I also love how I can modify the goal if I had already started reading the BOM. One recommendation, that would make this app complete, is the ability to listen to the goal section for commutes. I realize that I could switch over to the LDS tools app and listen from there but I’m all for anything that can make reaching my goals easier and more attainable. Thank you for creating this app!
