More than an app!

So, super cool story: Wednesday i was downtown and got to attend the launch of the this app app, and listen to its creators and stakeholders speak passionately about the impact it will have on the city. That same day, as I drove home, I noticed some graffiti on a wall at my exit, so yesterday I stopped (safely) on the side of the highway on the way home and made use of the app. It took me maybe 45 seconds to submit a photo, and I was done! Well, today, LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, the graffiti has been painted over! HUGE shoutout to the Cityflag guys and city services for the amazing work you’re doing for San Antonio!
And I thought the old app was bad

This “new & improved” 311 San Antonio app that City officials are constantly touting is terrible. When I first downloaded and opened it, it contained another person’s personal information. I’ve since removed and re-downloaded but the functionality just isn’t worth coming back to. The map function does not work. The app inevitably freezes anytime I try to take any action. I hope city taxpayers didn’t pay for this.
Idea is nice but app is useless

The app uses some custom GPS-to-address translation that is completely broken. For reporting potholes, this is useless, unless you just want to have fun sending the maintenance crews all over the place to the wrong addresses. And I don’t mean like it is just a few house numbers off, I mean it will not select the correct roadway. I would select every other neighborhood road EXCEPT “Military Drive West” that was any where in the vicinity of Reef Rd.
Unreliable and buggy
