1. Field work engages learners in authentic activities, helping them to experience and appreciate the environments they will (hopefully) work in after graduation, and learn how to deal with the situations, issues, people and ideas they will encounter in their professional lives.

2. Using a new app, In The Zone, learning materials and tasks designed to facilitate learning can be delivered to students’ smartphones when (and only when) they visit locations specified beforehand by the lecturer.

3. Equally, if you are the lecturer straining your voice and struggling to be heard, field work can be quite a challenge.

4. Field work is common practice in many of the programmes taught in the Faculty of Environment and Technology at UWE Bristol.

5. From a student’s perspective, however, undertaking field work is not always problem free.

6. It can be difficult to hear the lecturer speaking, for example, particularly if you are on a busy street corner or on a windy remote moor.

7. So straining to hear or be heard is no longer necessary.

Install In The Zone app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using In The Zone on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "In The Zone"
The search will reveal the In The Zone app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once In The Zone is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including In The Zone.
Now enjoy In The Zone on PC.
