What is 8. Make It Say with Inny? The Zoo-phonics app is an interactive game designed for iPads and large screen phones. It offers different levels of difficulty and allows children to learn how to form CVC words and blend words by Signaling and sounding them out. The game also helps children to listen carefully, follow directions, make decisions, and navigate and manipulate interactive elements on a screen using eye-hand coordination.
1. When the child is done with all the words in that particular word family, Zoophonia will Signal and sound all the words for extra practice and reinforcement.
2. If the child is correct, Zoophonia will say, “You’ve got it!” or “Well done!” or “Nicely, nicely” and then will Signal and sound the word.
3. Zoophonia will tell the child which word family she or he has chosen, and will Signal and sound it.
4. If the child wants to see and hear Zoophonia Signal and sing our “Come Meet Us at the Zoo” song, tell him or her to click on the Musical Note Sign.
5. The child should Signal and sound with her by looking at the letters in the word.
6. Inny Inchworm and Zoophonia will help the child “make it say…” (spell) the word that she or he sees in pictures.
7. Encourage the child to watch Zoophonia carefully and try to Signal and sound with her.
8. Encourage the child to Signal and sound with Zoophonia.
9. The child will grab, drag and drop the correct letter that completes the word that matches the picture.
10. This game will teach children how to recognize a blend and how to Signal and sound them in words.
11. The child has just formed a word! If it is not a match, the letter will not stick or turn colors.
