What is Per?

Perforator is an AUv3 Audio Unit plugin that can be used with AU compatible hosts like Garageband, Cubasis, BM3, or AUM. It is a rhythmic gating audio effect that can creatively snip, cut, gap, and filter incoming audio to create rhythmic patterns out of sustained sounds. The app has two gating mechanisms, an AMP EG gate, and a 12dB/Oct lowpass filter that can be used to silence high frequencies from the sound.

Software Features and Description

1. Perforator is a rhythmic gating audio effect: it will creatively snip, cut, gap and filter incoming audio to create rhythmic patterns out of sustained sounds.

2. By tuning the slice envelopes you can create anything from classic staccato "trance gate" sounds to emulations of sloppy pumping sidechain compression.

3. Two gating mechanisms can be dialled in: an AMP EG gate (the traditional way of gating) and a 12dB/Oct lowpass filter which will rapidly carve away high frequencies from your sound to effectively silence them.

4. * AU MIDI: both envelopes (L+R) can send their values out as MIDI CC messages to mimic 'parameter lock' messages in other plugins/apps.

5. Note: this feature requires iOS11+ and a host compatible with AU MIDI from effects.

Install Perforator app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Per on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Per"
The search will reveal the Perforator app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Per is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Per.
Now enjoy Per on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

- Perforator will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This came along at the perfect time! It’s exactly what I’ve looking for to add some different dimension to drones. I purchased it 10 minutes ago, put it in an apeMatrix mix, set up some rhythmic stuff, and I don’t need to know more. PERFECT! And with multiple AU instances with different presets, fed into delays etc. this is going to be amazing another Bram home run!

Boss up in the mix with this app as usual. Hit out of the park for house trance heads everywhere! Remember that awesome gated synth sound on Zeta? Now you have it on every synth w this app! Well done
