What is Bluetooth+? The app is a camera control app that allows users to control various settings on Blackmagic cameras using their iOS device. The app has several features, including external controller support, multi-cam mode, follow focus, playback control, zoom control, and slate-only mode.

Software Features and Description

1. Connect Tilta Nucleus Nano & Nucleus-M to control Focus, Iris and Zoom, as well as Start & Stop Recording.

2. In addition, focus pulls on EF mount cameras can be quite jerky depending on the lens in use.

3. • On EF mount cameras, we can only offset focus from its current position, with no broader knowledge of where the lens is in its focus range.

4. Zoom and Focus control supported on Pocket 4K only.

5. As the name suggests, this feature locks the app into Slate-Only mode, without the ability to change critical camera settings or start/stop recording.

6. • Due to the nature of bluetooth, focus pulls may not be 100% smooth.

7. • Follow Focus (limited support for EF Mount cameras).

8. You can now pull focus wirelessly right from your iPhone or iPad.

9. This means that focus marks are not possible.

10. Control the zoom level on supported lenses.

11. This means you can let an assistant keep metadata up to date without the fear of interfering with important camera settings.

Bluetooth+ for Blackmagic functions

- External controller support for Tilta Nucleus Nano & Nucleus-M to control focus, iris, zoom, and start/stop recording

- Multi-cam mode to control up to 12 Blackmagic cameras at once, create control groups, and sync settings across cameras

- Follow focus feature to pull focus wirelessly from iPhone or iPad (limited support for EF mount cameras)

- Playback control to start, navigate between, and play clips

- Zoom control on supported lenses (mostly MFT lenses with electronic zoom)

- Slate-only mode to lock app into metadata entry mode without ability to change camera settings or start/stop recording

Seriously, this app is such a huge asset to my toolkit. I have found myself on many sets needing to remote trigger my BMPCC 6k and that alone makes it invaluable. To have full control of all camera settings, some focus pulls and the capability to remote trigger from at least 10ft away has been a game changer for my workflow. Also, the developers wrote me back within 24 hours with answers to my questions. Highly recommended!

The app out of the box is very good and convenient. The design and layout is easy to follow and intuitive. So far the only problem I have is trying to manually dial in the shutter speed. If you use the left/right arrows, they toggle between shutter values EXCEPT the most important and most used shutter speed of 1/48. It is virtually impossible for me to manually dial in a 1/48 shutter speed. I have to do that in camera. Another feature that would really help is if they allow for adding letters to scenes (i.e. scene 3a, 3b, 3c etc.) Currently only allows to slate scene with numbers only (3,4,5 etc) Hopefully a future update can address these issues.
120 fps won't stop recording

(Update) the developer fixed the issue with "record not working" within a week and added a follow focus which is pretty great (OLD)There's an issue with my bmpcc4k. When I'm shooting 120 fps, the record button the app work for the start of the recording but not for ending the recording. This is a big issue when using a slider because I have to chace the camera in order to manually stop recording.

Hello. This is the app BM should have made. Today I used your app on a professional shoot with the BMPCC 4k for the first time. It was awesome for some overhead shots on a rig way up in the air. I was wishing for rack focus and was going to request that from you, then boom you updated it with that feature. Amazing! Can you please allow for still photos to be taken with your app? Thank you!
