What is Lightstream Racer? Lightstream Racer is an augmented reality racing game that allows players to experience anti-gravity racing in the real world using ARKit with iOS 12. The game features various modes, tracks, and cars, and has been praised for its futuristic graphics and intuitive controls. Players can also compete against each other in multiplayer and online modes, and share their screenshots and stickers on iMessage.

Game Features and Description

1. Online mode lets you race against other player times on your device, the seeker takes on their time as you strive to overtake on every turn! Online mode features exciting 5-Lap and Hot Lap races.

2. Tabletop tracks appear as a race track in front of your eyes! 360 degree tracks let you choose where you want to stand, the whole track will surround you in this room scale experience! Don’t worry though you won’t need a large living room as you can simply turn around to keep pace with the car.

3. Get 2 devices and race side by side in AR! One player places down the track in AR, the 2nd player joins and its game on! This mode uses ARKit 2 on iOS 12.

4. Prove your mad skills and climb the Online leaderboard against other players! The leaderboard is available across all 5 Lap Races and Hot Lap track modes.

5. The path to earning your racing stripes! Compete against the Seeker in offline mode, to hone your skills in the virtual world.

6. Momentum fills with every successful lap in race modes increasing your top speed making timing your acceleration critical.

7. Streamlined, two button control system is super intuitive to use while offering a huge amount of depth as you perfect your racing line.

8. Challenge other player race times and make some new friends.

9. These then also become available in online mode.

10. You’ll progress across multiple tracks and unlock new difficulties with faster cars.

Track placement options limited

Was trying to play against my daughter in AR and there is no height option, or orientation option. She couldn’t see the track so despite implementing a currently cutting edge technology, a simple flaw ruined it.
Very average simple game but with horrible ads

The game is simple and not that interesting except as an AR demo. But the ads are way too obstructive. There's a30 sec add for every menu tap. So you'll have to sit thru 90 sec of ads before your can even play a race. I get they need to make money but it's not worth it for this lame game.
Can’t go to anything

I try to go to tutorial but it logged me out of the game. And also the singleplayer. I know it doesn’t work becuase I tried many times. So I’m nit going to waste my time on the other ones. The game doesn’t work.
Fairly interesting, ruined by ads

There are so many ads in this game, it makes it virtually unplayable. You have to watch two 30 second ads just to jump into a quick career race.
