Software Features and Description

1. The America's Test Kitchen app delivers the best-tasting recipes, how to cook videos and more! Recipes are all in one place - get every failproof recipe from America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Illustrated, and Cook’s Country.

2. - Unlimited access to the ATK app requires a monthly or annual Digital All-Access membership, which also includes all the content across the America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Illustrated, and Cook’s Country sites.

3. Your subscription will automatically renew each month or year 24 hours before the end of the current period and your credit card will be charged through your iTunes account unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

4. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account after your free trial period or at confirmation of purchase.

5. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

6. Recipe collections for every occasion: Healthy recipes, desserts, grilling recipes, and more are available with notes on “Why This Recipe Works” and how the recipes were developed.

Awesome App!

This app is so easy to Navigate! I Love ATK! The recipes are fabulous. I Love the Product (cooking tools) Reviews. I have purchased many of the reviewed items (always the “Best Item being reviewed) and have never been disappointed!! I love the TV Show as well. It has humor, very professional Chefs, Cooks, Bakers, etc.. I always learn so much each time I watch a program. Being a Subscribed Member allows me to go back anywhere from the first broadcast all the way up to the latest broadcast. I can “search” for a particular topic and it takes me right to a broadcast or several broadcasts presenting what I’m looking for. Videos are so much more instructive than just reading a recipe. The additional commentary really adds to the learning experience! I have their Large, all-encompassing, Cookbook, in a beautiful Hardback covered book with lots of great photos. I recommend the book and a subscription if you love to cook/bake!! 🍳😊
Do NOT order your ATK membership through the App, do it on the website

Ordering your ATK membership through the App ONLY gets you access to the app, not the website. It is the same price on the App as it is on the website but the app doesn’t include videos or equipment ratings. BUT, good luck navigating the website while you’re at the grocery store! I called customer service and they were completely unapologetic and said that there was no way I could get access to the other materials because I bought my membership through the App...what?!?!? The only way to get that was to pay another $50 to sign up on the website as well?! It would have cost them nothing for them to give me an online log in. I’ve never heard of anything like this. I’ve been a print customer for years and ATK has a great product, but digital access to it is so bad that I may never sign up for it again. This is SO deceptive and absolutely terrible customer service on the part of America’s Test Kitchen. Two HUGE thumbs down.
Sharing between iPhone’s doesn’t

What works works well. It’s easy to get to recipes. What doesn’t work, however, is irritating. Creating a shopping list is great, but not if I cannot share that list with another device. Support tells me the as long as both iPhone’s are using the same account, the list is “supposed” to be available on the other iPhone (but not with an iPad - why not with an iPad?). Sorry, it isn’t sharing. “Log off and back on to the receivers iPhone” they say. Nope, doesn’t work. Irritating that! It would also be nice if the shopping list would allow me to change an items grouping. Canned beans are not “produce.” They’re canned, in a different part of the store. Still, it’s a great way to get to recipes.
Very primitive but also deceptive

Disappointing and deceptive. First, the annual membership on the web site was cheaper then the app. After purchasing this from the app, I noticed and reached out to the support e mail from the app. They responded as : “ Since purchase was through Apple store we cannot do anything”. They reported that thru could not even cancel my membership as I was in my trial period. If this is the case, what is the use of the “ support” link in this the app? . I also agree with the previous reviewer that app gives no access to videos, equipment reviews etc. They may be good in the kitchen but useless and deceptive in customer support. I not only would not recommend this app to anyone, but I caution against trying it for free, as it locks you in, to the annual membership ( despite their written promise for no obligation).
