JAPAN Trip Navigator is a travel guide app developed by JTB Corp., the No.1 travel agency in Japan. The app provides unique travel information exclusively from JTB and an AI assistant called “Miko” to assist travelers during their stay in Japan. The app offers features such as ASK, FIND, ROUTES, BOOK, and CREATE/EDIT to help travelers plan their trip.
1. ・By asking the AI chatbot assistant “Miko” any questions, you will receive detailed answers related to Japan travel, such as must-see spots nearby, unique model plans, rules and manners in Japan, the weather information, routes etc.
2. ・Various tours and activities specific for Japan travel are provided based on your interests and places from your customized plans and favorite spots.
3. ・Route search from current/specific location to the spots found is available to guide your Japan travel smoothly.

- ASK: The AI chatbot assistant “Miko” provides detailed answers related to Japan travel, such as must-see spots nearby, unique model plans, rules and manners in Japan, the weather information, routes, etc. Travelers can also upload a photograph of a place they would like to visit or written Japanese they would like to translate from Japanese to their desired language.
- FIND: The app covers full Japan travel information selected by JTB, and travelers can find recommended spots, model plans, tours, activities, and accommodations based on their interests and purposes of the trip. Specific regional information is also provided based on the traveler's current location.
- ROUTES: The app offers route search from the current/specific location to the spots found to guide travelers smoothly. Travelers can also get travel distance and time to their destination and call for a taxi. They can find an approximate taxi fee by downloading another taxi app called “Japan Taxi.”
- BOOK: Travelers can book their accommodation directly from a wide variety of Ryokan (Japanese inn) and hotels via “JAPANiCAN,” Japan’s largest travel booking site. Various tours and activities specific for Japan travel are also provided based on the traveler's interests and places from their customized plans and favorite spots. They can search and reserve restaurants in accordance with their preference.
- CREATE/EDIT: Travelers can customize their own travel plans by choosing attractive spots in Japan they want to visit. The app automatically calculates travel time and transportation when they change their plans, and the optimized planned route will be automatically shown when they add their favorite spots.
